Epik Legend Dual 12" subs Pre-order

In closing, I apologize to Epik for judging there product so soon. I think there needs to be a manual put in with the sub saying this sub needs burn in to achieve maximum performance.
Glad to hear you like them.
I will say that it's been said countless times that anything new will need break-in.
It'll just get better once they completely break in, you'll find yourself turning down the sub volume as time goes onTruck setup

Rather than get another stack of Legends, save yourself $200 and get an Empire. They have the same FR as the Empire so they would blend seamlessly.
Combo rig:
Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
PB13Ultra RO
BW Silvers

Ron,
the only thing is that the empire is 936 to my door and the dual legends is about 986. Not much of a price difference after shipping btw the two. -

Oops, forgot that a pair went for $900 not $1000. Shipping the smaller subs looks pretty cheap. I think you get a db more output with the Empire, but at those levels who's counting.

ANyone else wants to add impressions about the Legend? I ordered one to replace a REL T1 but I do not know if I will hear a huge difference between the two subs.
Feel free to chime in. Thanks. -

Any updates on performance? -
Leroy,
They have performed nicely and I have a big room. They don't have the ouput of the mfws (which I didnt Expect) but the bass is much cleaner, much tigher, faster. They have taken everything I have thrown at it, and I have not had them bottom out yet. I run them a little hot for hometheater. They blend seemlessly with my mains for music which is more of my focus than HT. I am about 60/40 music/ht and will be adding a 2 channel pre with HT bypass soon. I need to do some graphs, but my response seems prettly flat right now. The midbass punch is awesome. I have them corner stacked right now and I am still playing with placement. Overall I am very satisfied though HSU new 15 had me thinking about returning them for a while. BTW here are pics of my new setup. I am not totally finished as I am upgrading cables now as well but I am definitely enjoying everything especially the B & K reference amps. Let me know what you guys think

Nice rig bro. For a sec I was going to ask where the subs were, but I see you have them corner loaded. I bet that rig sounds nice.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments SherardP and Messiah. I will take better pics once I am done with my cables and post them in the system showcase.

Nice setup !!!
Did you try putting one sub on each side of the fronts? It won't have as much spl but should give you a more balanced sound. -
Leroy,
Whenever I decide on what brand cables I will be using through out the rig, I am going to try different locations. I want to be able to flank them but I dont want to lose much Spl by doing that. From my sitting position, the spl is great with them corner loaded and I dont have many dead spots. I am probably going to order another stack sometime in Jan/Feb if I am not pleased with them flanked. Plus I like to have an even looking front stage and I dont have that with them corner loaded. Thats just me being ocd, because I dont really need the extra bass. -
Hey...thanks for your impressions on the legend. Would you mind telling me how you have them hooked up to your receiver? Does your receiver have dual sub outs?
