It's still in the hands of the testers and I haven't heard back from them yet which is no surprise considering what time of the year it is. I'm sure these guys have more important things to be doing with there family's at this time of the year than testing some crossover circuit boards.

I am in for a pair for the 1.2TLs. Pending on the board material and copper amount.
    Lower noise=a happier PolkMaster.

I had an enjoyable phone conversation with Tony yesterday (that is before he made his last post, just so ya'll are clear on that) and I am going use the boards he sent to me for evaluation to upgrade a pair of 2B to TL statis. I've ordered some items that are needed to do this with and will report back when it is completed.

I have looked over the sample boards and think Tony has done an excellent job with them.

Me too and thanks, To bad my power went out (It started to get really cold!) and my brother showed up.

Back to your regular scheduled programming.

Baring any changes needed in the testing phase. The boards are going to be as follows.

    1/16" thick (Industry Standard)
    1 oz copper (Industry Standard)
    FR-4 RoHS Compliant (Industry Standard)
    Single sided
Green bottom solder mask (Industry Standard)
Black top solder mask (It will be a glossy black)
White Silkscreen on top (Industry Standard)
    measuring 10" wide by 5 1/4" high.

Here's some pic's to give you an idea.

Looking good. I like not having to mount the C2 caps hanging over the edges. It looks like the resistors should be able to be flush mounted instead of stickiking up in the air.
    Very clean.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

That's what got this whole thing started.

You would still have to mount R3, R4, R5, vertically for the Non-TL 2.3 & 1.2 or you can mount then on the bottom side of the board.

I am very interested in a couple boards as well. I was just looking at this and wonder if previous thresds have covered the availability of the new input/output connectors and the removal/installation of the original inductors from the 1.2TL x-over. Thanks. The boards look really nice Gpod!

Thanks Larry and Scott (so you know F1nut)

anolog97 check post #30 of this thread for the connectors.

These boards are laid out for the most part just like the originals so everything go's in the same place on the new boards as they were on the originals. I also made schematics for each SDA that these boards fit that has every part labeled and shows where it go's.

    Tony,

I am also trying to find time to do my boards. Sorry for the long delay getting started. I am spending a lot of time doing the DAC. Plus, Just today I got the 3M tape for the capacitors. I now have all the parts, I just need to take apart the speakers, desolder the capacitors/resistors/inductors and resolder them onto the new boards. Hopefully soon.

This makes me glad I waited so long to do the 4.1 TL upgrade on my 2B's! Please put me down as an interested purchaser when you have them available for sale. (I'll definitely be watching this thread too.) Thanks so much for doing this!

Nice writeup! I am not surprised about the inductors being the hard part. My crossover mods are working fine more than five years later. I might get a set of these boards in case I may need them at some point.

I'm still pondering whether to swap out the large inductor???

Well its something that I would like to do. I want to get a set of these plates and build me a set of spare crossovers that I could swap in and out of my 1.2's.

So far the only recommendation on the forum for new inductors is the 16mH one. Wish someone more learn-ed than me would start something.

I have not been able to find inductors that can match the ohm ratings that these crossovers need.
