No way. Impossible to keep track of that many people.
An attack was detected but no way of knowing the exact plan. -
There are three days as a teacher that have shaken me to the core: The first was the Challenger explosion that my class was supposed to watch while I was student teaching, but for some reason the TV cart's electrical outlet didn't work.
The second was the Columbine shooting as I had former students and a close friend since elementary school in the building. I watched the live images while my students were at music then somehow had to go back and teach another class. Later I found out that one former student was in the room with Dave Sanders, the teacher that was killed.
Then came 9/11, between the shock and anger, somehow I had to find the words to talk to my students in some way to calm the fear and terror in their eyes even though we were 3,000 miles away. I am forever grateful that being in a parochial school that we could pray and find strength together in our faith.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

Awesome explanation of your experience Mark and a big AMEN to the fact that you could pray with your students to find strength together in your faith. That is a rarity these days! Great stuff brother. -
Is it stupid now to remember a day we were attacked ? Or are you refering to the idea of building a Mosque at ground zero ?
Sorry but I cannot resist to chime in. The Mosque will be built where it was planned, period. It's a symbolic of religious victory that history has been proven. It's not a co-incident but rather a religious symbol.
Please look up Cordoba Mosque in Spain and why it was built there. Also, in Kenya, after the destruction that killed thousand of innocent people by the terrorists, a huge Mosque was also built a few blocks away.
As a Christian, all I can say is God bless America. It does not matter what happen to my faith , loose or win I will be with my Father at the end. Amen. -

You can delete all my post if you desire so but you cannot delete history and you cannot mis-interpret the true meaning of the word Cordoba in Arabic .
I am not anti- Muslim or any other religions however the fact remains that the $100,000,000.00 Mosque will be built with a chosen name as Cordoba on the soil where thousands of the innocent people died is not simply a co-incident. That's my point. Is it provocative or is it not? Let the people who have their loved ones died there be the judge. It's not up to you ! Good night. -
You don't have to quote me my man,I totally agree. Remembering our loved ones on a tragic day,and those who have died, the rescue workers still suffering, can't be done without remembering why it happened....and the anger most americans still feel over it.HT SYSTEM-

Agreed....problem is,you can't beat down evil with a feather, or fluffy talk. I remember a time in this country that talk of such things as building a mosque on the site of slain americans would not even have crossed anyone's lips. Look at us now.HT SYSTEM-

I was feeding my son when the towers and Pentagon were attacked.
My son was less than a year old at the time. As the morning's events unfolded and some semblance of clarity was being revealed I remember looking at him and wondering how this age old war was going to affect his life. Would he have a chance to grow up in peace?
I'm an old combat marine and hate war as much or more than anyone.
Radicals? extremists? It's hard to tell the players without a scorecard.
I'm a Christian and I have turned the other cheek as much as anyone. I only have so many cheeks to turn.
The Muslims have their rights. Granted. Why are my rights as a Christian being taken away by our country?
I thinks it's distasteful the Mosque should be built there. JMO.
God Bless America always.
Bless the families and the souls lost in the attacks of that day.
I'll not forget and I'm still awaiting the consequences of the attacks on my son's future.
I see a changed world I'm not happy with.
Keep a vigilant watch over our country and don't let us be toppled from within.
God Bleas all. -

I was enlisted on 9/11. Worked all night and drove off base with no clue, as we hadn't really gone on "alert" yet full bore. Read up on the good colonel's account of "Able Danger". That's one failure our government, at the time, made. The other was years before when we fed the starving lion.
I will never forget 9/11. It's not black and white. The American people suffered the malice and ignorance of many, both foreign and domestic. Imam, or colonel, lack of foresight or lack of judgement, they are pointing to valid points; read about the players and where they came from, it doesn't make "us" wrong, we will always remain victims of policy failures both foreign and domestic on that fateful day. I wish people would wait before jumping to conclusions.
Some people were ready to fight before they realized the other guy was on the same page as they were.
>>>>>>>>>>
My son was five when this happened. I took him aside and explained the twin towers were gone. You're going to remember this, because this is the day that changed the rest of your life.
>>>>>>>>>>>>
Political- I wish the people who were in favor of the Mosque had waited more than a few minutes after the eulogy to throw up their signs. We were recognizing our national wound, minutes later, signs came out that said, "STOP THE HATE"
The anti-mosque people did not 'protest' right after the eulogy. The eulogy was supposed to be nonpolitical.
9-11, moving eulogy, "Stop the Hate" signs. I'll remember that for some time.

We cant operate this country out of concern about what 800 million moslems will do if they become upset.
No, I'm not for burning qurans, but we live in a free land where flags are burned, Bibles are burned, Bush is burned in effigy, and yes, someday, someone may burn a quran. By all the hysteria and attention this was given, we have now put ourselves in the position of upholding sharia law- because any mistake and eight hundred million moslems will be angry with us.
We need to uphold freedom here, we need to protect our country, and we must never forget 9-11. -

anhchungdoan.
the Iman has said he will not name it Cordoba. I wonder if that's what they'll call it overseas?
He also said that among other reasons to build, they must follow through and build because if they do not Moslems will think the US forced them to move and they will be angry.
That's a strange message from a 'minister'. He also stated we must follow the constitution. There's nothing in the constitution that would prohibit showing respect and tact when dealing with the 9-11 family's wishes. -

We as American citizens have the right to do a lot of things granted by God, it says so in the Constitution. Having those rights also requires the responsibility to use common sense when making the decisions on actions so as not to hurt people (physically or mentally) or incite problems which may bring consequence down on other people.
Dave, thanks for posting all the pics & vids. It is bringing back the strength and resolve in me that has wavered as time went by since 9/11/2001 to try and do all I can to not let this happen again and remove the fear associated with it as that is what the Muslim Terrorists love to instill . . .fear!
Here's where my bolded statement needs to be applied. That as well as that nut in Florida burning Korans. Sure he has a right to do it but think of the consequences. The same with building that Mosque. Back to the nut burning the Koran; it's really effed up that this "preacher" would do a thing like that and still claim to be a Christian. Another thought is this why is there such an uproar about the "preacher" doing this, fear, fear of the Muslim extremist's. Unfortunately that is a fact of life now but burning books was what Hitler had done. This is not the American way nor is it the Christian way. -

Doc, I'm still getting the feeling you are saying that it's our governments fault this occurred. Yes we did help make Osama Bin Laden when he was fighting the Russians but he turned on us and made us the "great devil." The attacks on civilians by Muslim extremists on both Muslims and Christians is despicable and pure evil. He's using snippets, out of context, from the Koran to make his own personal holy war. Sure the attacks on the WTCs weren't the first but it was on our mainland soil, on our civilian citizens.
I'll never forget 9/11 or any other despicable act by these crazy misguided evil people. Therefore it's not a responsible thing to take the right to build Mosques and place on hallowed ground where these kooks killed so many and destroyed all that American property.
Freedom isn't free, along with rights given by that freedom come responsibility and common sense. -
Saying we made Osama Bin Laden is like saying the we made Timothy McVeigh.
Osama Bin Laden is a extremely wealthy, well educated Saudi. He had his pick of choices and roads to take. He choose to slaughter innocent civilians, something the Quran does not approve of.
Supporters of the Mosque say we uphold the Constitution to build it there. It is not unlawful to build it there, neither is it unlawful to move the location out of regard for your fellow americans.
If the Iman had announced the mosque was being moved for those reasons, the groundswell of support for American Moslems would have been huge. We would have been unified in a way we haven't seen since 9-12. -

No, no, no! What I meant was we supplied him with munitions and the CIA was in cahoots with him and taught him a lot about warfare in an effort to thwart the Russians during Afghanistan's fight with the Russians. Since then he turned his twisted views and his warped take on the Koran against us. Hence all the terroristic activity since and it led up to the 9/11 attacks. -

Money is powerful so the Mosque will be there but does it really matter? There is a better place that our Father has promised so let them have it as a symbol of Cordoba, provocative or not!

These pictures reflect LOVE and PEACE in a difference point of view of those terrorists. They believed that they would be in heaven with 72 virgins for each one of them so this was the price that Americans had to pay for.
Now, I am done. -
One idea you never hear about the WTC Towers...we should have rebuilt them ASAP.
