    I installed the tweeter brackets into a set of SDA 2B's, with no problems whatsoever. I did the mortite tweak at the same time, and feel the brackets will allow me to have a tighter fit than the original screws. As far as the clarity, I've not played them yet. Should be getting the crossovers back from Ben soon, and will hook them up then. Very impressed with your work Larry! :D

    I have a question, but first, thanks Larry for the brackets and rings.

    I've installed my 1Cs and am now pushing on to the second speaker of my 1.2tls. While removing the drivers I started to wonder about swapping positions/locations of the drivers. Considering how the signals are sent to each, will this help the aging process and/or sound? I tried a few quick searches and didn't find anything previously discussed. Opinions or results of your own experiments would be appreciated. If I missed a previous thread, please point me in the right direction.

    For your 1.2TL's, do you mean swapping the stereo drivers with the SDA drivers? If so, you can't do that as they have different specs. Even if they were the same I can't see any logic in doing so.

    No, I'm aware of the SDA drivers/specs (6503 vs 6511). Hopefully this is a better explanation...move positions from top to bottom in the respective column. Let's say the top driver is #1 position on down to the bottom driver as #4; move it lower in the order towards #4. Do this for the three respective columns (2 MW columns and 1 Tweeter column). Each having a #1 through #4 position. The tweeters were what got me thinking. Are they used equally at lower vs higher volumes? If not, some would have more hours on them than others. Also, XO signals are different to each driver, so, over time, would they benefit from a change? Twenty-one years of variable signals to different drivers. Maybe I'm over thinking this, but I'm a maintenance analyst on aircraft and operating time makes a difference on almost all components.

    I don't see where that would make any difference with the drivers but I could see where it might be good on the tweeters, well the RDO's anyway but 20 year old SL2000/SL3000 tweeters? I doubt it as they should have a crap load of hours on them..

    But all & all you might be overthinking it. Put them together and enjoy the tunes!!
