(and this series has asked the viewer to suspend disbelief on quite a few occasions)

Yeah ! D'ya mean like the whole zombie apocalypse thing ? I think the tree walker was already lounging against the tree when Andrea happened to back up to it. (thereby creating no noise)

They have a new writer / producer. I think that the show, which was my favorite, has fallen off. On the last episode I didn't care what happened to the players featured. This happens to a lot of shows such as Deadwood, True Blood and such.

Agreed. The Walking Dead isn't doing if for me as much a earlier episodes (unlike Justified where 3/19 was probably the best episode since inception)

Deadwood had the same principal writer, creater and exec producer all three seasons. David Milch. One of my favorites, to bad he couldn't finish it the way he wanted.

Love is in the air. Well maybe not for the rest of the crew. At least Merle went out fighting. Walking Dead ends next week and Game Of Thrones starts. ''White Walkers''

I tell ya, this show just gets better and better. This was the perfect way to get Merle out of the picture since he would never fit in with the prison and considered a traitor to Woodbury and The Governor.

I was hoping Merle was going to turn it around!! My problem with the episode is Merle is there to kill the Gov. but he spends his time picking off the red shirts (star trek reference) not immediately going for the gusto. By this point, you know something is going to happen to him but i didn't expect that ending.

The big question is, who is going to kill the Gov's best friend? Or is he going to be the one to take him out??...ANDREA????

I had just hoped that Merle could have gotten at least one good blow in and left the Gov. with a parting "gift' to remember him by. T'was a very lopsided bout, IMO ! :frown:

Lol, I thought gdb was referring to Merle using his stump "Lil Merle" to take off one of the Gov.'s nuts. All in all, maybe Michonne will kill The Gov. and Andrea or Maggie kills zombie Gov.

A fitting end to the Gov would be him getting killed by say, Michonne and a sword to the belly, then allowed to turn to a zombie. Take his zombie **** to a jail cell where he'd be locked in it for all eternity!
    No excuses!

I kind of like the idea of locking him in a jail cell, zombie-fied or straight human. Really doesn't matter. But, Michonne is too predictable. That's why i think it's going to be his best friend who grows a set of juevos and takes the man out for the greater good.

This has been my favorite series with the possible exception of Homeland but I don't understand the fascination of the gratuitous violence against the zombies. Anyone explain this to me.

Maybe they're bitter because the zombies are constantly trying to kill them and have already killed almost all their friends/family?

Or maybe because it makes good TV.

    Or maybe both?

They (the filmmakers) do it because it panders to their demographic.

Its the equivalent of the old Super-8 zoom lens. Once the cameras had those, that's all anyone wanted to do while filming.

I don't play video games but I am guessing that smashing zombies appeals to the people who like video games.

Well what are your thoughts guys? The Andrea part was a bit unexpected. But watching lil' Carl walking that thin line between sane and acting like the Governor was a bit distressing. I think he and Michonne need to have a little heart to heart.

Well, the Governator just eliminated his numerical advantage, big time. I really have a hard time imagining what part he'll play in the next episodes. Carl did what needed to be done, just like he said. IMO......the group should have colonized the town with the remaining town folk and left the Gov. on the outside lookin' in !
