    WOW! You guys are hardcore. Remind me never to sell you anything. Some sellers ship same day some take up to 10 days to get it in the mail. I bought a cd off Ebay on July 15th................just received it yesterday. Did I email the seller 3 times or gripe about it, no. That's how it happens sometimes. Now after about 21 days w/ no contact then I'd start to get the ball rolling with ebay/paypal/postal inspector/detective/national guard/army, etc.

    Cool it guys, nothing unusual about this transaction so far. Some people suck at doing things on time.

    didn't email and "gripe", asked for a simple heads up. He was paid immediately, I expect some form of communication. The guy disappeared after purchases were made. A simple acknowledgement would suffice. This transaction is starting to stink. I have never hassled anyone on here about delivery, nor audiogon or ebay. If you can't simply acknowledge a buyer after over a week, you have no business trying to sell stuff anywhere.

    At least say hey, it's going to be about a week or two before I ship, that's fine with me. Or I understand if you are a power seller with a hundred transactions a month or more, understandable.

    but not a few cables....

    Hey man, I don't disgree but it just doesn't work that way anymore. I used to get furious when I would send emails to sellers and get no response, etc. I just roll with it now because I accept the risks and procedures involved for the money I save vs. buying new or from a retail dealer, etc.

    The cd I bought was $3.98 plus free shipping. If I wanted it in my hot little hand right away I could have gone to a brick and morter store and paid $15-17 for it.

    All I'm saying in my experience (and I'm not implying you don;t have any experience) is that more and more, especially the power sellers, lead times and communication is way out there. Consider it the cost of getting a great deal.

    Brock, I get what ur saying. In the twenty or so transactions in the last 6 mos, only one I can think of was a little slow, but he initiated contact.

    sorry, my old cop bs meter is going off with this guy. I could care less about the money, if he is pulling a scam, I want to reduce the lead time he has. There are some crafty a**holes on ebay, they play the system well.

    You may well be right Ric, I just know in the past when I've written a seller off they eventually come through.

    Good luck and keep us posted. I am ALWAYS leary of the "it's too good to be true" senario and this one smells of that. But like you, the cost is well worth the risk and if I had a need for these cables I'd probably have rolled the dice.

    I have gotten some great deals even on the "too good to be true" senario. Got a killer pair of Telefunken tubes that normally sell in the $150-180 range from a guy for $65.00, excellent condition, quick seller, etc. I've been lucky especially with tubes since they are mostly ancient it's a huge roll of the dice.

    I also bought a $200 pair of Tung Sol's for $49 and they were NOS. It was a perfect transcation.

    I'm guessing this is more about bruised ego's....trying to deflect the fact that some fell for MIT cables for so cheap. You may get them,you may not, I dunno, but if you don't,somehow " we told ya so" just isn't enough. If you do get something,I highly doubt it will be authentic MIT.     This was not about bruised ego's, I didn't fall for anything, if you read the thread. I said wth, I will order some, if they are real, I will Karma them on. I don't need them per se. If they are fake, then they probably still work, and I can maybe use them for the bedroom rig for a bit. No big deal. I was smoking this out, because I didn't believe they were real.
