I'm 37, and yes I love speakers that are over half my age! With all the upgrades done to them, they have certainly aged more gracefully than me!:D

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I'm 50 and waiting for my sda-crs's from ebay. And no amount of begging would get the seller to do anything to keep the magnets from shifting. So I'm sure I'll be looking for some replacement drivers in a couple of days. :( Damn you seattlegoodwill. Oh well.

33 now, but the family got a pair of Polk SDA's when I was ~ 9, and I have been in love with them ever since. Just watching those drivers crisply pound out every note to track after track was one of my fondest childhood memories. Now I have a ton of classic polk monitors, rta, and sda, and I still love the richness of the sound.

    45 in three months,

SDA 1C studio (in rebuild mode now), Monitor 12, Monitor 10, Monitor 5, Hope to get a set(s) of SRSs' and CRS+ one day.

I heard a set of Monitor 12Cs' in the mid 80's at 17yrs old, loved it, wow! So I go off to the city to go to school. While in the city I go by the HiFi shop and get a Polk brochure to drool over. Since I am in school, no money, so the dreams of nice HiFi and the brochure get packed away. Just over a year and a half ago I find the brochure while cleaning out all the crap that I have accumulated and BAM!, the Polk bug bites be again. I find this forum, and CL, have never looked back! :D

Love the forum gang! I hope I can contribute something worthwhile in the future.

I will be 45 on the 16th. Polk has always been my favorite speakers but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I heard my first set of SDA's. That would be my SDA 1C's, after that I started collecting them and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have met a lot of good people along the way on the forum. By far this is the best audio forum out there bar none.
