    Ok I won't.
The only thing that is upsetting is the fact that I cannot use the spades.... My receiver won't allow them....
ANy ideas on how to make that work?
SOmeone could look up a pick of my receiver and give me an idea perhaps?
Like maybe I can cut off one of the spade ends?
Ive always wondered what it would really sound like to use an actual coat hanger....

The reason I have asked is that I have been eyeing the type 4 cables for some time now...so...

Well, PerfectCreature reminds me ALOT of him. Even some of his syntax and vernacular is very similar. Kind of scary

No way. I am not the "t-unit" Sorry to disappoint.
I got the 12 gauges done with spade the 14s with naners.
Will just use bare wire to connect with receiver for now.
May pick up some different wire and try with different wire.
Any recommendation on what brand is the best wire?
DOn't even say monster, I have learned though this forum that monster=crap. Or so I've been told.
    Oh, and what is amsoil?

You already have more than enough cables as you previously mentionned... Why then should you spend money to acquire other cables for your project? Use what you have, simple as that! You made a good deal on your monster cables therefore, why should you feel bad about it? Your goal shouldn't be buying gear and associated cables in order to please other members but ratter please yourself according to your own beliefs and budget which you seemed to have done quite well so far. What's the meaning of complicating your life over something that is quite simple and should instead provide you with some fun time???? Don't let people attitude get to you!

    Cheers!

You know technokid. I really have to thank you. you are perhaps one of the most encouraging people on here.
I figured out how I can use both of them. The 12 gauge cables I made I will just put the wires in the terminal on my receiver and then the 14 guage had banana plugs, so I will just put those in the hole.
As for the speaker the 12s have spades which will go on the 12, and the 14 have banans which will go on the tweeters hole.
I will post pictures when I am all done I just have to get cable pants on the 14 gauge wires. I have to hope that half inch techflec can fit 4 14 gauge wires and 4 12 gauge wires.
    Heh.

Here are some photos of the after...
I know some of it is sloppy...but I need bigger shrink wrap and I am going to pick up some pin connectors because the strait wire was difficult to fit in receiver. Hoping pins will make it easier. As you see in the first photo, that is exactly the same concept I am using to connect to the amp. Tweeters go inot the hole, and the mids go (bare wire) Into the binding posts.
I am really exited. Just waiting for the tech flex (hoping it will fit-Shipped out today...lame back order bull crap) and pick up some pin connectors and a few various sizes for shrink wrap to finalize everything after its been wrapped with the techflex and It will be practically all set :)
Did a quick sound everything was check definitely looks nice.

If anyone wants to use big wire for their projects I would not advise it, stick to 16 gauge it is pretty much universal for DIY projects. Just a heads up.
The wires used were schoshe 14 gauge wire (walmart for 14 for 50 feet)
Monoprice 12 gauge wire like 9 for 50 feet.
monoprice banana plugs screw on type.
    shrink wrap form varies stores.
Parts express spades, tube wrap cable pants.

Would like some feed back on how it looks.
