Primary 2-channel speakers are RBH MC-6CT's. They are a medium size tower, about 40" tall and 60 pounds. My favorite thing about these speakers is the balance. They sound good with all kinds of music. They are not particularly laid back, nor are they "in your face". As such, they do equal justice to well-recorded jazz and classical as they do to rock and country. And they are a stone value at less than $1400/pr list. I use them with the ports plugged, letting a pair of Velodyne DLS4000R subs do all the deep bass.

    SDS-SRS2 w/rdo's
    no subs needed
    99.9 cds
I like the very well balanced sound overall and spaciosness that just comes from every space (depends on the recording just where the sounds might come from)within a 15' to 20' radius around that 220* angle of the sweet spot.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

OK...who over 40-45 does not or did not once own a pair of Realistic Minimus 7s...?

    I admit I still have a pair...they even work....lol

Of course they're not the 'primary' speakers. Not sure what those will be when I return and upgrade to a good bookshelf.

Two pairs in my basement (one the early/sealed version, the other the later/ported flavor), plus a single, dump find 7W (the wood cabinet version). The more expensive "minispeakers" of the era (e.g., Visonik Davids, ads L-300) really were quite a bit better sounding.

Never had any in the Minimus series. But back in the day the shack was pushing another higher end line of floorstanders 1974 era, (can't remember name or series), they had a plastic honeycomb grill in front of the gill cloth.
Had a pair of these that rocked day in and day out for several years. They were pushed with a Hitachi receiver. Awesome sound quality from a shack product! Good memories!

    It is the sig........
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it.
