The stack-a-bility feature is nice, but the extraneous bells and whistles are both uncalled for and just one more thing to break... I don't want an amplifier to manage its power output based on temperature. I don't want an amplifier to perform buck / boost input power compensation, and I certainly don't want an amplifier that is processor controlled (don't know if they are, but it seems like they are).

Computer chips keeps things more accurate man. It decreases power if the amp gets to hot but that's better than shutting the amp off or causing the amp to live a short life from heat. By the time most of these amps shutdown, the heat has done melted everything on the inside of these amps. Plus the new processor keeps you from clipping the signal to your speakers also. It's the best thing since fuel injection if you ask me.

Ya... MTX tried that anti-clipping tech **** about 8 years ago. Absolute worst idea I've ever suffered through.

An amplifier should overheat for only 2 reasons...

    1) there's something damaged to begin with, so it's not running properly.
    2) you've been driving it to the wall for 15 hours on end in 104 degree Florida heat.

Otherwise, if it is overheating, then I would blame either...

    1) poor design / poor thermal analysis / **** ITT Tech engineers
    2) noob installer put it under the seat with all of an inch clearance, so it could bake

    .. and carburetors rule.

LOL! Everybody likes different stuff. That's what keeps everybody in business. I give alpine props for being able to pack 1400 watts under my tiny front seat. That was just a dream five years ago. 300 watt amp was all I could fit under my front seat just a few years ago.

Just wanted to say that the Adcom didn't work out,
there was something wrong with the amp. So I got these:

    Genesis 3 Stereo 100 (x2) - I love those amps.
They produce 4x 85w rms, which is perfect!
