This chart SUCKS and is basically WRONG.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
The chart is basically only funcitonal for health care professionals. Its more or less used as a referencing point to determine health risks and dosing guidelines based on studies. I don't think its really intended to tell someone whether or not they should lose weight.
Most all of us should know whether or not we need to lose weight. Don't really listen to this chart. Just go look in the mirror. -

(seriously, you have to take those calculations with a grain of salt, by 'the chart' for my height, it 'says' I should weigh about 185. I would look like I was on crack if I weighed 200, much less 185.)
Keep in mind that those ideal weight charts were based on data from the 60's. People generally were a lot thinner then, probably because of limited money (not to mention lack of a fast food joint on every block).
BMI's are but one measure of a person's health status. Muscular individuals will have higher BMI's, but with lower body fat percentages.
Generally, the medical community considers the following:
BMI <19.5 = underweight
BMI 20-25 = normal
BMI 25-30 = overweight (must account for muscle status)
BMI 30-35 = obese (health risks, possibly even if muscular)
BMI >40 = morbidly obese
Anyone with a BMI > 40 usually qualifies for surgical treatment (e.g., gastric bypass surgery).

I've seen this circulating for some years now.
The problem is, it doesn't take into consideration the fat to lean bodymass ratio. It just assumes that all people are fat.
You could be 6' 2", 230 lbs and be fat. You could also be 6'2", 230 lbs and be very lean and muscular.
I use that because I'm 6'2" and run right around 230lbs. I scored a 29.1, so I'm literally borderline obese according to this. If you saw me in person, you would think otherwise. I would have to be under 200 lbs to be normal, which is freaking skinny for my height.
It's stuff like this that cause some people to go on those rediculous weight loss diets!Time to hit the gym boys! (I speak from experience on this one!)
Ain't nothing like frying your legs on a set of hack-squats to the point where you just want to collapse on the floor and die! Wish I could do regular ones, but I messed my low back up years ago and don't want to risk doing it again.

I'm 6'2", 205 pounds. I could lose maybe 10 pounds of fat, which would put me at 195 and smack dab at the top of the normal category.
I have a medium frame and maybe 15% body fat with decent muscle density and tone.
Since I have 3 levels fused in my spine along with 12 titanium parts worth $18,000 bolted to my spine, the only exercise I do is brisk walking and bench press with my legs raised and crossed so I don't cheat.
I taught Tai Chi locally a few years back and that helps too.
I do three sets of 12 with 140 pounds three or four times per week - not exactly earth shattering but enough to keep my chest and arms strong and fairly muscular and enough to help me draw my hunting bow at 65-70 pounds.

I love the mushy feeling when you can barely walk after a good leg workout!! I've literally had my legs to give out when I was trying to walk down a set of stairs one time. Maybe I'm sadistic, but it was an awesome feeling.
I can't do squats anymore either. My knees have taken quite an abuse over the past few years from all the jumps I've done (I'm a skydiver). They never hurt after a jump, and I'm landing correctly, but apparently they're getting microtears in my ligaments, ACL, etc. Lovely. Oh well, there's nothing like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane at 13,500 feet... not even a good workout can compare to that.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. - Albert Einstein -

The only firearms I'll be firing anytime soon would be .22 LR rimfire, possibly the .223 Rem centerfire. In other words, no appreciable recoil. Don't want to break my spine into several small pieces.....
I should be ready for the .44 Magnum revolver by deer season, but the 12 gauge slug gun will have to remain the exclusive domain of Edith this season. She is a very good shot; took a large doe last season at 110 yards with a perfect quartering away double lunger. I couldn't have been prouder.

At 33yrs I get a 24.8. Hey, finally somebody thinks I'm normal. It's not the size, but how you use it. I do alot of physical work (when at work), but it's mostly 25-40lb loads. My buddy (who does no physical work) would be considered obese. Then again his biceps are the size of my oversized calfs.Make it Funky!
