SR1 surround speakers only emit static sound when synchronized w Polk Magnifi Max soundbar
The SR1 speakers only emit static sounds when synchronized with the Polk Audio Max soundbar and base unit. (Synchronized process performed several times)
The Polk Audio Max soundbar has been connected to the internet for days with a known working network cable (tested with another internet device).
The soundbar is supposed to update firmware when connected to the internet.
Polk MagniFi Max:
- System Firmware 103
- Cast firmware 1.21.75965
1. Help to remove the static.
2. Do I have the latest firmware?
3. If I don’t have the latest firmware, help update the unit to the latest firmware.
- Google Home indicates the MagniFi Max is connected to WiFi, but clicking the 3 dots in the upper right corner doesn’t give the option to update firmware. The only options available were “Feedback” and “Open Source License”.

Re: SR1 surround speakers only emit static sound when synchronized w Polk Magnifi Max soundbar
I have the same problem with my MagniFi Max. I bought the SR1 surround speakers separately and can't get them to play anything other than a horrible static sound

Re: New Useless Vanilla Feature
WTH is it for?
On mobil it seems to freeze up your screen and place a white bar across the middle of the screen. Cool feature.

Re: Mid life crisis,Yea or Nay???
Beautiful car for sure. I do have questions. Is it you or your wife having the mid life crisis ? She sure does look happy behind the wheel & it makes me wonder if she is going to let you drive it . Back to the car. Be careful on the throttle so it doesn't get the best of you. I'd get a ticket for sure in that beast. I bought a new truck last Aug & I didn't like the tires. It cost me 1400.00 out the door. Be ready for empty wallet. Enjoy your ride. Be safe

Re: Let's talk DAC's
Is the switch actually inverting phase or polarity?
That's a good question. From the web...
"The terms “phase” and “polarity” refer to two different things and cannot be used interchangeably. “Phase” implies a shift in time relative to some reference, while “polarity” is simply a reversal of the positive and negative terminals of an audio connection."
I've always thought of phase as reversing the polarity of speaker terminals. The audio test CD I have has a test that refers to speakers being in or out of phase. The manual should explain what the phase switch does.

Re: Vintage Monitor and SDA Speaker Deals
These are killing me. But I already own a pair… but I don’t own the stands…. 😏

Get them! Original stands are worth the asking price all by themselves.
