With all of the above caveats in place, I would think the weight of the phono preamp on top of the CDP would actually help reduce vibrations.2 · -

For my Micro Seiki MA-505L tonearm, I got this AST-05 stabilizing nut. The stock nut is on the right...quite a difference. These nuts screw onto the bottom of the tonearm pillar, under the arm board.…9 · -

I would agree with Scott about the 'dark bits' that settle to the bottom of a cleaning tank. Record pressing plants are not very clean, and I have no doubt there are shards of vinyl left on…1 · -
