An Ethernet cable that doesn't meet spec can still pass the signal, in fact fluke measured a bunch of Ethernet cables and 80% of them didn't meet spec.1 · -

The node will blow away the phone is sound quality. I used to use the node 2 with it's internal dac it didn't sound too bad, but it's much better with my external tube dac.1 · -
