WTB--Monster Interconnects

If you don't find the 950i or 1000i cables you are looking for, you might want to consider some Z series cables. Here are my questions and Monster Cable's answers concerning the differences between the M series and Z series cables:

My Questions:
1. Is the M series a higher level than the Z series?

2. What would be the sonic performance differences between a 10 foot pair of Z3 speaker cables and a 10 foot pair of M2.2 speaker cables. The M2.2 is almost twice the cost of the Z3.

3. What would be the sonic performance differences between a 1 meter pair of Z200i interconnects and a 1 meter pair of M1000i interconnects. They both cost the same.

Monster's Answers:

1) The M-series offers some of our higher end cables. Almost all of the M-series cables are also UL CL3 Rated for in-wall use.

2) Sonic difference between these cables will depend upon your speakers and the room that they are in. The M2.2s will give you a much quieter noise floor that is noticeable on Electrostatic speakers or exceptionally higher Dynamic Speakers.

3) The Z200i and M1000i are 1 of a few models, between the 2 series, that actually cross each other in technology. The main difference between these cables is the Jacket: Z200i has a black mesh jacket, M1000i has a black UL CL3 rated jacket. Sonically they will give you the same performance.
