Would you like copies of my IRS paperwork too?

I know what the MSRP is of most gear from both companies and there's no way you're into the high 5 figures, so yeah I'm throwing the BS flag. Prove me wrong with pics to back up all you claim you own.

Or, you could provide the MSRPs to prove your contention that together the products from both companies (Sony, Polk) cannot add up to a high 5 figure range.

When was the last time you heard about someone who was happy paying MSRP on a new car?

The Agon Blue Book should be a nice wakeup call. IMO, even that is a little inflated at times.

XRJGUY sent me a PM, in it he listed his gear and MRSP total. He also indictated that he didn't want to list it on the forum and I can respect that. However, including a TV and a few other non-Sony ES pieces, it still doesn't add up to the high 5 figures, closer to the lower end as I thought. Even less if one discounts the TV as it is really not Sony ES and the other non-Sony ES gear.

Therefore, I stand by my comment. Sorry, man.

I'm sure "BR" is so simple that I'm missing the meaning.
I like 2-channel SACD and some SACD that mimics a tiny bit of ambient in the other channels. I can't make sitting in the middle of the band work for me.

Oh wow, you forgot the all important fact that I stated in the PM to you that list was just for ONE SYSTEM. How convenient of you to leave that part out. I also included the Polk gear as well as my original post included that in my statement. Obviously that isn't Sony ES, but obviously you didn't quite read my statement in the previous post about the value of BOTH my Sony and Polk gear.

The SXRD is SONY gear, so why shouldn't that be part of it.

Number one I do not have to prove anything to you. I actually regretted sending you that PM because I don't know you and don't care if you don't believe what my gear consists of.

Number two, nobody here has any reason to doubt me (search my posts, I have not posted anything outside the realm of what I claim)

Number three, if you are going to publicly respond to a PM, have the integrity to include important DETAILS such as what I said in the first sentence of my post.

Number four, some people on this forum are extremely immature and the "senior forum" members were mostly responsible for derailing this thread.

F1Nut, get a life man, really.

    Edit:
Oh and one audio system approaching almost $30,000 US (original MSRP price of equipment) to you is considered "low end" when the majority of components are in fact Sony ES and Polk like I stated?

I'm guessing by your high brow reply you must be running all McIntosh gear and those $28,000 speaker cables that everyone laughed at a while back or something else, right?

I didn't forget anything, you only offered info for one system, in which you included the Polk items as did I. If you wanted to validate your claim of high 5 figures, you should have included everything other than saying, "That's only ONE system in only ONE of my houses."
The SXRD is SONY gear, so why shouldn't that be part of it.

Hey, you're the one that said,

Last time I looked there were no Sony ES TV sets, so why should it be included? Besides, even including the TV the total doesn't approach your claim.

You're the one that stated, "Obviously I am not posting all this **** publicly for good reason." I was simply respecting that. That said, I didn't state anything other than what info you provided.

Well, here we are again. $30,000 is not the high 5 figures and if you remove the non-Sony ES items, including the TV the figure is around $19,000. Take note, nowhere did I said anything about your system being low end, so don't even go there.
I'm guessing by your high brow reply you must be running all McIntosh gear and those $28,000 speaker cables that everyone laughed at a while back or something else, right?
You would be wrong about both the gear I own and that I took a high brow attitude. No sir, in fact you are the one bragging here. I just called you on it.

I have to admit, I did get a chuckle from your comment, "Also have almost 2000HP of vehicles in my garage and driveway." Zoom-Zoom!

SXRD XBR is/was the "ES" of Sony televisions.

$30,000 for ONE stereo system is the partial figure of the high five figure sum that I claimed. To reiterate I am not sending YOU a complete stranger a laundry list of the things I own along with picture so YOU or someone else can rob my house.

You don't seem to understand English or common sense.

You didn't call me out on anything, however you look quite foolish and petty.

Nobody was bragging, I own a lot of Sony gear that was relevant to the discussion.

Whether you doubt my claim means nothing to me, but to indirectly call me a liar on a public forum in regards to what I own is your prerogative but doesn't speak well for who or what you are trying to represent.

Again, YOU DIDN'T POST THE FACT IN YOUR REPLY BEFORE THIS ONE that I stated in the PM to you that the one system details I sent you were only representative of ONE high dollar system, which was part of my original quote.

Oh i am not sore about anything. You've done nothing here to even reply to the OP inquiry, proving my point again that it seems the long timers here are all about posting garbage vs. quality.

Good I am glad you got a "chuckle" out of my HP comment. You want pictures of those too?

Feel free to flail again with a response and believe me I don't lose sleep about you or anyone else doubting what I own or claim to own.

I can understand breaking and entering for cash, jewelry, recreational drugs...maybe even art...but audio and video gear? Would it even be worth the effort and risk to a perpetrator to go after bulky, easily damaged items that are not going to bring much return on the "stolen goods" market? Who in their right mind would buy stolen used electronics with no recourse if the thing didn't work? Of course there is a market for brand new, factory sealed electronics ripped off from manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers, but that is a whole 'nother illicit market segment.

One of the easiest and most lucrative things to steal from a private residence is an expensive car...just break into the garage door...most of which are not alarmed, hotwire the thing and drive off. Yet, how often do you hear of this happening?

Car engine, what the hell are you talking about?

The only one that seems obsessed with and continues to revisit the five figure quote is you and it's quite apparent that since you won't get a rise out of me you continue on with your inane responses.
