Audio Coaxial/Video Coaxial difference?

Is there a difference between these 2 cables? Can a cable labeled "Video Coaxial" be used for Audio Coaxial and vice-versa?

    As far as I know there is no differences other than marketing purposes. There should be no difference between the same branded cables listed as either audio or video in there makeup.

    I've used a composite video cable as a coax audio cable and a coax audio cable as a video cable before. So aside from marketing purposes, they should both do the trick.

    Video coax is 75 ohms, the same as digital cable. Interconnects are usually around 50 ohms. As stated, they will work for either application though, but I wouldn't use a regular interconnect as a digital cable.

    Some systems actually give you a regular mono interconnect as a digital coax cable. Case in point: The Onkyo HTiB's come with a mono IC and tell you to connect that between coax on the DVDP and AVR.

    Yes, and it's probably 75ohms. My Marantz CDP came with one too. I don't know where you're going with that. :confused:

    I was going to say, that cable works as a video cable, coax audio cable, or as a mono IC. It's the same cable as the included RCA cable in the box, only that the RCA is two molded together.

    If it works for all the above, then I would assume it's okay to use it for multiple purposes.
