    It's funny, Sony could put the PS3 in a different box, call it a network enabled Blu-Ray player, don't put anything about games on the box, charge $100 more for it, and I think some people would buy it.

    something interesting is that the 80G hard drive version has SACD support the 40G hard drive version does not.
    I don't know if this would be importat to people or not but I wanted to bring it up.

    Agreed. And with the Walmart $100 Gift card deal going, it's effectively $300 for a 40 GB PS3 (or network enabled, harddrive equiped, blu ray player with "dedicated graphics processing").

    Looks like the $100 gift card deal will extend to all walmart blu-ray players the 8th-14th. Along with pushing many blu-ray titles under $15. Nice...

    The Walmart website is only indicating the gift card for the ps3 at this point.

    :rolleyes:I didn't want a PS3 because I already have an X360 that I only use to play NHL 08. My GF's kid would want me to start getting PS games and I don't need that pressure.
