Wish I had the bling. The SACD option/decoding, and I would imagine the 2 channel would be as good or better than my Outaw990. Oh well I can put it on my wish list.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Hello Mantis,
I have a question for you: what do you mean that Rotel messed up their release? Can you elaborate on this for me?
This marantz unit does look interesting. I will check into it. I've been considering going with separates, but I haven't been able to find a preamp that I liked. My concern with this one based on the picture, is that it is too large (deep) for my cabinet space. If it's more than 15" deep, it won't fit.
Anyway, thanks for the info.
Regards.Speakers:
. 5.2 surround config:
. . . In-wall L & R Fronts and Center: Polk LC265i, LCi-RTS-C. In-ceiling L & R rears: Polk LC80i
. . . Floor Subs: Polk DSWPro 500, Paradigm PDR-10
. Zone B: very old pair of Polk M 5's
. In Storage but still favored: Paradigm Monitors
AVR:
. Yamaha RX-V863
Universal DVD:
. Oppo DV-980H
TV:
. Sony Bravia XBR LCD 40" 720P (2005 vintage)
. Comcast Cable, Motorola box -
And not to mention the bad boy is only $2600.00... Compare that to the new Denon pre they came out with this year at well over twice that price. I have inquired into Mac and when they were slated to comeout with something and the one reply after they called Mac was not until atleast next year and the price will be atleast $10k :eek:, the only thought I had was GOOD LORD I'll never get into the Mac arena at that price damit!!!!!
But when I came across this piece it had me looking for sure and I would only hope that other co. were not too far behind B&K, Para, Krell, NAD Master etc..

While the B&K Ref-70 would have been a nice idea for a new unit. It looks as though it will not have the new formats either. I feel the manuf.'s should just stop and get their crap together and put out a new unit with the latest formats complete instead of him-hawing around putting something out to just put something out. Seems like a waste of time and money for all and still be out dated or dehind even if they would give for free an upgrade whin it becomes available seems like a waste of time and resources.
And I think it (NAD Master) would for sure be female when it comes with all the new formats as it would more then likely give me wood
