It seem like 5 minutes;)

I went about a year and then I held a polkfest and someone left his monoblocks with me for a couple weeks. That destroyed my plan and I had to buy them. So be careful hosting any gatherings
-
It's been at least a year, maybe more. It's easy when you don't have any money.
-
I follow new technologies so as it goes I go. Usually 6 months and I'm ready for something. Longest I went was no change for over a year.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
What exactly do you mean by "gear"? CDP's and amps and stuff? Or anything audio related? Like tubes or cd's or cables.
If its the latter. Probably no longer than a couple of weeks. -

Same boat here. Part of it has to do with turning over demonstration gear, other times it is to see how well I will be able to integrate the "new" piece into my lineup. I might go a month some times, but not very often.Tschüss

It seems to go in cycles....
I find myself selling "extra" gear for whatever reason, and buying more , just a few weeks to a month later
I have some pretty solid stuff and it is breaking in nicely, but i have a habit of selling things shortly after they break in and settle down...!!
Tubes,cables,etc....it`s a never ending type of thing....but it does slow down.......eventually !!
I guess I could go up to six months without buying gear !!Cary SLP-98L F1 DC Pre Amp (Jag Blue)

If I could go 2 weeks without buying something for my 2-channel rig or just to play around with, I'd be amazed at myself.
It seems like it's weekly for me to grab something. However, it's taking me months to move excess gear which is getting annoying.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

It's very difficult. I really wanted to get a pair of Von Schweikert VR1s with an Outlaw RR150 receiver for the room I am staying in but I just can't justify it. I am trying to learn discipline in this hobby from Cathy's fine example.:)Sharp Elite 70

If you think about it rationally, you'll survive. If you get into the audiophile mindset, you'll always lose.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
