Oh well, I mustnt judge. At least youre willing to spend some money on some quality gear.

Well there are a couple ways to go. If youre wanting to simply drop in a box and an amp then, no question, the DB212-2 is the best one on the market. Lots of output and sounds awesome!! Get it and power it with a good amp thatll make 750-800 watts RMS at 2 ohms mono and go get em.

If youre up to building the box yourself, then Id suggest going and getting a couple Kicker L7 12's and power them accordingly.

I hate L7's. My buddy had them in 15", and they are such ghetto blasters. You can deffinetely get points for loud, but SQ just sucks. Slow rubbery rap bass.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

as Mcleod said, for a nice SQ and loud bass the DB212-2 and also should be easy to install

for something louder, use the cerwin vega stroker, (2,000 RMS)

I think they sound pretty good. They are insanely popular in SPL circles but all the ones Ive heard generally sound pretty good.

They do make some major noise tho. Ive seen a **** ton of these things in winners circles with some very high SPL levels.

Polk momo subs are the real deal. I don't have much room as I have an F-150 extendend cab and wanted the speakers under the back seat. I got 2 momo 8" and built sealed boxes for them (sealed boxes don't give you the boom you will want they give a tighter bass but you can make the box smaller). Those 2 momo 8" subs ROCK!!

You will want 12 or 15's and a large ported box. Check crutchfield.com for the speakers and prefab boxes or sugesstions on building your own box. The key is in sizing and sealing the box and sizing the port correctly. Also matching you sub to your amp.
