DIY subwoofers

I built stereo subwoofers, each tower has 4 12" drivers each. Here is the thread where I discussed them.
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31077&highlight=subwoofer

Here is a picture of one subwoofer.
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10899&d=1126217988

Willing to sell the pair for 800.00 including the Beringher BFD. Basically 100.00 per driver. I can ship these via truckline but is $$$.

Or, if I can sell drivers in lots of 4 (either 1 person buys 4 or multiple buys taking 1-2-3 of them) Drivers 100.00 each plus shipping

Willing to talk about most any deal you can come up with, always interested in trades, but cash is KING.

I am not sure Brad, I have a test CD I use for setting them up and it goes to 20, I use the EQ to make them as fat as possible in my horrible basement room. The drivers are each in a 1 cubic foot box sealed from eachother. This makes a very tight bass, but with the smaller cabinet for each driver means you have to boost the extreme lowend, I use the beringher for that. I wired the drivers so I have 4 ohms in each cabinet. This produces serious bass, I get 20 hz with huge output when asked.

How did you wire the subs for a final Impedance to the amp ( Series/Parallel Combo) . I usually go for a 4 ohm final when using multiple woofers for home...nice job by the way.

Assuming they are 8 ohm/sub, you wire each pair in parallel to get 2-4 ohm circuits then put those 2 circuits in series.

If they are 4 ohms each, then you do the opposite. Put 2 subs in series, then put those 2 pair in parallel.

3 subs would be a bit more complicated.

Yeah, good idea. Hold onto them until I'm able to purchase them.;)

In the meantime, design & build an external crossover (or use a Behringer) and top off the subs with a couple of mid/tweet modules. That would be cool.

Silly rabbit...I know how to do it...I do it on a weekly sometimes daily basis :) I was just wondering what he WANTED his final impedance to be...load wise for the amplifier he used and what the future owner needed to plan for.
