    Yep the 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus is in my reference list awesome LP. I keep trying to find a sealed or NM copy but so far nadda!

    BTW, Carl....I think you are the guy mentioned to me by a neighbor, Dan R (a nukie engineer) a W-house???? He said something like...."yeah..I know a guy that has those same POLK SDA's and he has even re-built crossovers!!!! Are you that chap?

    Joe- great pick. I picked up a direct to disk copy about 30 yrs. ago and it is still a primary reference LP. "School" is an awsome track recording.

    Great album! Thanks for sharing. I find that threads like these introduce so many new things, it's great to talk about music instead of Mercury poisoning.:eek:

    Speaking of Mercury poinsoning, I have a ton of old Mercury recording that are REAL albums. They don't even have the names of the songs on the record labels, they are hand written in the ledger of the opening side of the "album." This came from the "phono album" era.

    BTW Ric, my favorite cut of Jazz at the Pawnshop is "Lady Be Good." It has everything in it. My second and third are "Limehouse Blues" and "High Life."

    My top number one favorite is More Dirty Dancing as I reviewed in another thread.

    Second is Janis Ian, Breaking Silence.

    Third is anything from Laurie Anderson.

    Right now I'm enjoying Bongos and Brass, (some old compilation of, well, Bongos and Brass). This is good for me but probably nothing special other than I like it.

    Manhatten Transfer is next but I don't remember the title.
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

    Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

    My guess would be anyone reading the thread (other than you, of course). This is an exploration of musical tastes. A declaration, if you will, of what vinyl has a semi-permanent home off the shelf of most collectors, choosing instead to have it at their finger tips, ready to play when the mood strikes.

    Let me say it clearly....I care....The "10 list" has spoken to many of us. Each list states the writer's musical turn-ons. These are something to be shared and appreciated. Scoffers are hard to understand in this context. Why scoff GG? Why retort so?

    The majority of the threads in this forum I don't care about. I only read the ones that I'm interested in. If I were to write "Who cares" in all the threads that I don't care about, it would be silly.
