Price seems a little high, but if anybody is interested, I can go up there and check them out.

    Yeah, especially when you consider that you can get a pair of SDA SRS's for a little bit more than that.

    Those are identical to the ones that I used to have, oh how I have kicked myself in in the ars for getting ride of those......over and over and over and over, well you get the point.;)

    Looks like they're the original SRS 2's. This model was weak in the bass area which is one of the main reasons Polk made the SRS 2.3 (which is what I have). They added extra low frequency drivers to move that massive 15" passive radiator.

    In my opinion, a grand is too much for these. The seller even states that the interconnect cable may be lost. How the hell do these people lose the interconnect cable!!!

    What? I never had any problem with the bass extension, as a matter of fact I was always blown away with the amount of bass those bad boys could put out. If the cat was away this mouse would play and I could shake the rafters in the house we used to live. I have to disagree about the low end on them.

    I saw these on ebay and wondered what they were. They have
    the same amount of drivers as the SDA 1's but are arranged
    differently. How would they compare to the SDA 1C's?

    hotwheelman, I'm sure they do quite well in the bass department, but I read articles years back (as well as forum threads) that stated the main reason Polk upgraded to the 2.3 and added drivers was due to customer complaints about lack of bass in this model. I'm sure there were other enhancements that drove the model upgrade. If you look at a pic of the 2.3 models, they have 2 extra drivers in each speaker added for low frequency boost. They also added a third tweeter to the array.

    It's not my opinion that they are weak in the bass area. It's just what I've read in the past.

    It is my opinion that $1000.00 is too much for these. I would spend $600.00 on a nice set of 1C's before a grand on the SRS 2. The 1C's are very nice!!! Then again, I spent a grand to get my SRS 2.3's several years back.

    Well, I wonder if I would change my mind if I ever had a chance to listen to some 1c's, I wish nascarman were still around. I bet I could have took a listen to his. I like my 15tl's, but I feel like they are a bit lacking in the bass department when compared to the srs 2's that I had. I had them on virtually every wall in the living room and always had the same awsome results.
