    raife1,

    You have 3 pairs? I wish... I have one:( Why you don't part
    the other pair to me?

    Har,

    I'm just giving you sh#$ (in a friendly way).
    Ya know though... whatever price you pay, for $300 extra,
    you can replace all the drivers and the tweeters with brand new replacements from Polk. Certainly you agree that crossovers really don't age. Thus, for $400 + $300 in new components, you have a new speaker. So, working backwards, you could pay up to $900 knowing that you will replace all drivers/tweeters and you will still end up with a set of NEW $1200 speakers. Now, lets not forget that $1200 was more in 89 than it is today. No, I'm not really wanting to sell mine - that is why I stated the $750 price. But, with the above logic, you certainly would agree that $400 or $500 is an excellent deal for these classics - knowing that "new components" are readily available at good prices from club polk.

    Actually, the polk replacement parts availability is what makes old classic polk speakers such an excellent value. Something to consider.

    Have a nice day.

    One can always utilize a set of 1.2's as coffins for he and his wife!
    This would, of course, be the ultimate undoing of keeping SDA's as collectables.

    If I can not get any CRS+ to anyone, maybe I will make one myself. The estimated cost for Drivers, Bass Radiators and Crossover will cost me about $390.00. I have 2 SL2000 spares...;) So the only concern is to build speaker cabinets
    that I can do myself, like I did to my Audio/Video Rack. I have to get all the information and sizes of the speaker
    cabinets.:p

    Sometimes a custom made and handcafted furniture is much
    better than the one from the store.

    Har,

    I thought about doing that myself, but Polk does not have all the crossover parts. At the time (about a year ago) Polk had 15 of the crossover circuit boards in stock. However, they no longer have the large 4 inch diameter inductor coil that the crossover circuit board is attached to.:mad:

    Har,

    Don't fret over the crossover dilemma. I've got a copy of the Polk blue-print schematic for the CRS+ crossover. If you are handy with a soldering iron, even that can be re-created. Serious.

    As for the sick **** that would dig up a guy and his wife buried in 1.2's... well, it would be a crime easily solved. Afterall, just how many sick **** in this world have multiple sets of these monster Polks? Hmmm.

    Smile (afterall, you have Polk SDA's) !

    I need your help CRS+ owners...

    Ok Ron, If you got a copy of the Polk blue-print schematic for the CRS+ crossover may be you can post it here or I will ask Ken to send me a copy. About the 4 inch diameter inductor coil I'd spoke to Ken about it and He said that you can buy them from a local electronics stores which is not a big deal to find.

    What I'm really concerns is that if you can tell it to me the
    accurate speaker cabinets dimensions as I attached a pic.
    of dimensions I needed to make my own CRS+ speaker
    cabinets.

    The dimension from the pic that I want to know are:
    A=
    B=
    C=
    D=
    E=
    F=

    The next pic will be:
    1=
    2=
    3=

    If you can provide it...is greatly appreciated.;)

    Regards,
    Har

    OK guys, I think nobody want to spend their time to measure their
    CRS's for what I need to build my own...:mad:

    Anyways... How do you compare these two?
    CRS+ vs. SDA 2 which one is better...

    Har,

    Damn, you're a busy guy! I have the 2B's (actually on loan to my Dad) and one of my brothers has the CRS+ so, I've heard plenty of them. I think they are very close except the 2B has more bass. You can't go wrong with either one.

    Cheers,
    Jesse

    Har,
    Congrats on the 2B's!!! That is a reasonable price and you will like the real wood on the top and bottom. I just noticed the post. Don't forget what I said about shipping, make sure the guy knows to package in such a way as to allow cushioning for hard jolts. The 6.5's may not stand up to it if not packaged properly.

    Don't talk about bad things that may happen to you, because it may come true.

    If your ears have disappeared you won't be able to hear the sound your SDA's make, so it will be useless. Then you would end up having to sell it anyway.:D

    Har,

    Been busy this w/e. Yes, I have a copy of the schematics.
    I can also measure them properly if you are still interested in building them. Jeesh, this is beginning to sound like work.

    Maybe if you can provide a fax no, I can just fax the schematics to o you?

    Let me know.

    Har,

    I don't think 2b's and crs's sound the same (though, similar).
    The crs+ has a magical quality that the 2b's seem to lack.
    The crs+ is just a phenominal (crazy-like) imaging speaker - much more so than the bigger brother sda's.

    A=9.25"
    B=2.75"
    C=7.00"
    D=10.063"
    E=4.125"
    F=4.25"
    1=6.00"
    2=6.25"
    3=6.00"

    Don't forget to say "Thank You".
