"But criminal mischief, property damage, and dangerous behavior are not Homecoming traditions we will overlook."

Funny pic from the Plainfield PD FB page...they had to count them all....

Some not so funny things happened...property damage.

    3ydg7wceii8l.png

Our 'hood' had some kids running up to front doors and kicking them, sometimes breaking glass on storm doors. We were lucky, we have a full-size window on storm door, but they just kicked our garage door.

Kicking someone's front/storm door or garage door and damaging vehicles. Ugh. These idiot kids need a hot rod car, some 2-channel rigs or at least a girlfriend. Property damage was the farthest thing from my mind as a juvenile. Sorry you have to deal with that, Rich!

Some kids are out of control all over these days. Currently E-bikes are a big problem in our neighborhood. In next door Shorewood, kid under 16 on E-bike hit a Patch journalist on a bicycle at 9:30PM on roadway in June. "Complaint alleges that Ferak was riding with an illuminated headlight and taillight, was wearing high-visibility clothing, including a neon helmet, and was exercising due care for his own safety and the safety of others." They just filed a lawsuit against minors parent, so will be following that.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Known for its stylized visuals, pastel Miami aesthetic and heavy integration of contemporary pop and rock music, the show became a defining cultural touchstone of the decade, memorably showcasing Phil Collins's "In the Air Tonight" during the pilot's climactic drive sequence.

42 years ago today, September 16, 1984, "Miami Vice" premiered on NBC with the two-hour pilot episode "Brother's Keeper." Created by Anthony Yerkovich and executive produced by Michael Mann, the crime drama starred Don Johnson as Detective James "Sonny" Crockett and Philip Michael Thomas as Detective Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, undercover Metro-Dade Police detectives fighting drug trafficking and violent crime in Miami, Florida, alongside Saundra Santiago, Michael Talbott, John Diehl and Olivia Brown, with Edward James Olmos joining as Lt. Martin Castillo starting with the show's sixth episode.

It was a great show! I remember this scene.

That cat never was about audio anyway, seeing as how his chair is in a FUBAR position to begin with.

He lost before he ever started.

That was my one non-negotiable when we had this house designed. :)
Although I must note, in full and complete disclosure, Mrs. H had given the living room over to me in our house in MA ("House 3.0", at that point) back in the 1990s when I discovered the swap pile at the town transfer station and started getting interested in hifi again. She is a saint.
