Picked up a set of their Select series from 1998 on the used market and they had a nasty hum!
So being any reasonable person I emailed Kimber about their faulty nearly 30 year old cables!
Kimber offered to reseat all connections free of charge! They also included a nice factory box, a sweet kimber kable bag and even covered return shipping!
The cables also work perfectly now!

Customer service like that is a rare thing. Still pliable with a few companies however. I was pretty surprised at their willingness to provide service to that extent given the age of the cables and the fact I purchased them used.
I also forgot to mention they offered trade in credit $200 more than I paid for the cables towards a new set if I was interested (I sent them the link to the listing so they were aware of what I paid)- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Audioquest certainly won't do that. I have some old Coral interconnects with an intermittent connection. Read up on their warranty and they only cover original owner with proof of purchase.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

kimber kable does very well at cutomer service. I've sent in cables and was well taken care of. They even sent free seeds.

Wow, 30 years, that is customer service! I had some Harmonic Technology IC's do that once. I have a very interesting story about AudioQuest and service they provided. You would be blown away if you knew how far they went to correct my issue. That's really good to hear about kimber's customer service!
I had a similar experience with Audio Advisor and their Audioquest Black Mamba II interconnects that I had for years. No questions asked, send them back for a full re-termination.
Good as new again. -
When I was 19 or 20, I actually got to hear Ray Kimber’s system in his home.
At the time, my car stereo installer-buddy was prepping a massive system for IASCA Nationals. He and Mr Kimber were good friends, and he was using Kimber Kable for all of the exposed cabling in this particular car stereo. Anyway, I was hanging out at the shop (Car Concepts in SLC) around closing one day, and he says “hey - do you want to take a road trip up to Ogden with me? I have to stop by Ray’s house.” I had no idea who “Ray” was, but I had nothing better going on so…
We arrive at the house (very nice home, I remember), and go in through the garage/workshop - electronic test gear, amps, speakers and cable everywhere. Ray gives Jerry (my buddy) a box, then asks if we want to come in for a bit. Sure. We sit at the kitchen bar an have a beer (I always looked older than my years - even now), then Ray asks if we want to hear his new speakers.
This is where the story takes an unfortunate turn, because at the time I had almost zero interest in home audio. I was totally into car stereo - not the boomy crap you hear from 2 blocks away, but good quality sound (Dire Straits Your Latest Trick was my go-to demo in my car). All I can remember about Ray’s system is that when I closed my eyes at his request, the room simply fell away as he played some Manheim Steamroller. I remember the speakers being unbelievably large and very thin - some sort of electrostats I assume, and I remember 4 of the biggest amplifiers I had ever seen arrayed on the floor - probably Krell or Levinson.
