I went and saw it last night. I saw it in Imax instead of Dolby , honestly I like Dolby way better than Imx for a few reasons. 1 Imax is way to loud I mean it was so loud at times I couldn't understand the dialogue . It was painfully loud. 2 Clarity and detail, Dolby Theaters are way more quiet and have much more detail.
So Supergirl as a movie. It was ok I guess. I enjoyed it but I'm not a huge fan of the direction of Superman and Supergirl have gone . I liked both movies but Supergirl just seemed off.
I'm not going to post any spoilers so if anyone wants to go check it out, it's fun action packed but there will be things that if you grew up on Superman and Supergirl like I have, your probably gonna feel a bit off.
The Actor from House of Dragons is Supergirl Millie Alcock I think her name is. I read a bunch of reviews and most of them are hating on her looks , her teeth etc. Actually When she was in House of Dragons , I felt she was very cute. In Supergirl I still feel the same way. I don't find to be ugly on any level. She has a very European look to her and I actually dig that look.
The ending was typical, the movie in many ways was very typical in the sense of flow and what comes next. I expected every single thing that happened, no surprises no plot twists it was basically straight forward.
So I suggest if you like these kinds of movies, it's not a waste to go see it but see it in Dolby , Screw Imax. I enjoy feeling the movie but not at the expense of almost getting a headache because it was overly loud.

I remember a movie that was TOO LOUD once. I made earplugs out of a napkin. My wife and step-daughter thought I was weird. I think I was feeling down at the time.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I get that man. Feeling down is all I did for the last probably 5 or 6 weeks. Then I decided EFF it, I'm gonna try to live my life with my chin up and try to face whatever the hell is going on.
Being to loud being a movie or music , there is a point where it's awesome then sucks. Imax sucks as even regular stuff is just to damn loud. I'm never going to Imax again.Dan

IMAX can be pretty darn good. Smithsonian Air & Space theater comes to mind.
Like lots of other things, garbage in, garbage out.

This movie could not have come out at a worse time. Right now, the vast majority of people are suffering from:
1. Super hero movie fatigue - this cow has been milked to death by Hollywood.
2. Girl-boss movie fatigue - people are sick of the unrealistic portrayal of women mopping the floor with bigger, stronger men.
3. James Gunn movie fatigue - this guy has clearly over stayed his welcome.
