POOL PARTY!
It's happening a lot lately. I might put 5 gallons of water per day to keep the birdbath topped off.
This was the first time I've seen a bird submerge its head fully underwater. A Cardinal. I guess it knew the water level wasn't deep at that time. It was a blast watching all kinds of birds coming around about the same time these pics were taken. Some just drank sips, and then off they went.
The Morning doves still frequent the birdbath. We still have a couple hanging around, so what that Hawk was eating probably wasn't one from this pair.

The rain + Milorganite fertilizer (2nd feeding)+ sprinkler watering yesterday = a fuller lawn.
I saw a couple of June bugs so I spread some Grub-ex grub killer down. This only prevents next years generation. It really works great if you put it down EACH year to break any generation of mass infestation.
