Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Brownsville's right across the river from us -- a stone's throw from Windsor and the I-91 interchange.

View heading west on the old Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg. Note the narrow lanes built for 1920-1930s cars. Note the railroad tracks next to the car lanes. Now imagine driving eastbound while a train heads west just over the railing to your right and a huge semi comes westbound just inches to your left. In our 1962 Volkswagen Beetle it was unsettling. In our 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air it was frankly unnerving.

Tunnels are interesting too.
It was in the early 1950's that I went through a tunnel for the first time. It was the Bankhead Tunnel built in 1941 that took you to downtown Mobile Alabama via US 90 from the outlying areas.
It was one of my most adventurous journeys of my life at a young age because of the tunnel trip under the water and visiting the Gulf of Mexico beach on Dolphin Island which was the first time I had seen the waves of the "ocean" although it was the Gulf of Mexico.
A second tunnel about two blocks upriver over the Mobile River was opened in 1973. It is the George C Wallace tunnel and handles traffic from I-10 in and out of Mobile.

Vacationed on Dauphin Island in 2018 for a week - first time in 50+ years. No high rises.
@mhardy6647 you might like this: Although the island has several bird sanctuaries, the main one is the 164-acre (66 ha) Audubon Bird Sanctuary. Because Dauphin Island is the first land encountered by many birds as they migrate north from South America, many species can be found resting there before continuing their journey."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Harry / Marietta GA -

It dropped more than 30 degrees here overnight. We thought today would have been hot as (you know what) today in the afternoon, but instead? We put on light jackets to go outside. It bounced between 60 and 68 all day. Currently at 64 again.

Got up at 6 AM this morning to a temperature of 38 degrees in Marietta. Crazy weather!
A few snow flurries and sleet were reported with image in Bartow County/Cartersville on FB on Saturday. (Unverified and could not find the image today)

My father always talked about Will Rogers, and there is another version of this event.
I grew up in the country about 50 miles west of Atlanta on over 150 acres of old family land divided among three family members. There was a large pasture that had an electric fence. I have seen this done in real time by other kids. I did touch the fence once with my Daisy Pump Action BB gun so I know ^^^^ doesn't tickle.
The other version was probably before the electric fence was installed but my memory is not sure. When my cousins visited from the Atlanta area, my uncle would always let them attempt to stomp his foot into a new wet cow pod in the pasture - It's was funny how many times the same ones would fall for it time and time again.
(We still have the three original plots of land - our mothers and fathers have died and none has been sold by the ones living now)"Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Harry / Marietta GA -
We have a friend who is a bit of a gearhead*.
Always interesting to see what he's driving. Last time he visited, he was driving a lovely, very early Mazda Miata, on his way to some sort of car thing in Vermont.
He stopped by last week driving another Japanese vee-hickel, but a much newer one.
