Dunno about numbers but you walk outside with a perfectly clean phone and it's covered in 2 minutes or less. A strong breeze comes by? Well, you see said pollen blow, as if it were snow.

This is what we woke up to...

Compare that to the far, far more lovely weather we had exactly a year ago today (08Apr2024) -- clear skies and nigh-on balmy temperatures, which was quite fortuitous. :)

    Masters week weather in Georgia!

Cold and windy; started Sunday and yesterday with rain and more rain.

When I have gone to the Masters in years past, I have always seen new visitors from the North visiting the South and experiencing this weather in shorts and t-shirts expecting Florida like beach temperatures.

The Pollen has thined out now, BUT...

The Live Oak and Pecan tree TASSLES are falling like brown snow now. :#

They fill up the cowl under the wipers and also pile up on the wipers. They get into any crack or crevice your vehicles have.

Great weather here in Tennessee. Was just sitting in the screen room
with the cat after mowing the back yard.

Lots of crazy weather going on this week. How are y'all faring so far? This upcoming weekend doesn't look good for the South. Bracing for a major snow/ice storm. They are saying ice for my area, up to 1/2". The good news is that Atlanta has 11 salt trucks :D ...My small county in Michigan probably had more than that. I know. It doesn't make sense to maintain a large fleet for a snow/ice event that only happens every few years, but keep that in mind when you make fun of how helpless we are after snow/ice. Most roads never get plowed or salted. Just the interstate and major highways. They pre-treat with brine tankers and that's mostly it.

Down here....and from TX to the coast in the SE?

It's a crap shoot. We could get 22" of snow, a wintery mix, 2" of ice or nothing.

    Gotta love weather...

How about being productive at your job only 27,5% of the time and still make well over $1million/year. Should have been a baseball player.

Can't put on the news today w/o the end of the world as we know it snow storm.

I've been saying this for years...there's no other job I know of where one can make 6 figures and be wrong 50% of the time.

    Agreed.

Skedaddled out of work early today to pick up a few things. Glad I did, as when I went shopping, there was plenty of everything. Decided to go out about an hour and a half ago, and get a few more specialty items, and some propane tanks in case we loose power for an extended time (our area is expected to have a 1/2" to 3/4" of ice).

It took me 7 stops to find a store that actually had propane and when I stopped by the grocery store for the specialty items, there were 2 packs of bread (all types) left, no water, no milk and the lines were 6 or 7 deep. I exchanged the last two tanks the one place that had propane had on hand. Now, they are out as well.

Looks like Sunday and Monday, our entire area will be shut down with wide spread power outages, but we will not be alone. This storm will be one that many of us will remember for some time.

Yep, I saw the same thing, but it was last night here in GA. Everything picked over on a Wednesday, when the storm isn't hitting till Saturday. All because our Governor was on social media telling everyone to go now and buy stuff. Carts were crazy full. Do they think this is the apocalypse? It's a few days at home, maybe without power. A week at worst. 4 packs of bottled water? Why?

Regular temp this morning around 7:45. Windchill approached -50. The high today will never get above -30 wind chill. We won’t get above zero until maybe Monday.
