Merry Early Christmas to Me

This will be replacing my secondary rig which is a Rotel receiver, RtiA1s and Bluesound Nano. Taking some risk on Ebay but the price was more than right.

I asked for the seller to ensure he used bubble wrap and packing peanuts since he didn't have the original box. This is what was delivered today:

    That box looks great. ;)

Glad it arrived without dents and/or punctures from a forklift.

I’m happy to see that someone has better luck with FedEx than I do! Well … probably everyone does!

Part of the problem with FedEx is they use subcontractors for ground delivery, some subcontractors are good and others are terrible.

About 3 months ago, I had a shipment of medical equipment coming from Louisville, KY get lost and had to request a replacement shipment. Still today, the tracking info for the lost shipment says, “delivery details will be updated soon.”

Since December 8, I’ve had a package from the UK hung up in customs in Indianapolis, despite involvement from both myself and the shipper the minute I noticed it.

I don’t know what their deal is, but I’m positive I’m batting less than .500 with them over the past several years. Used to think they were the best at one time, but not anymore.

Picked up some kt170 tubes for my hybrid amp. I had kt150 tubes from upscale audio, but one of them went microphonic.

You're going to enjoy that piece. Bluesound is pretty damn good as well. I have it and I'm enjoying it.

I bought these KT170 tubes from viva tubes, much better than the KT150's I bought from upscale audio. I thought I had a scratchy volume pot, but it was the tubes I bought from upscale audio.

KT 150's have a bit of an love/hate reputation from my understanding. I watched a Kevin Deal video, well for as long as I could. LoL
