Yup and I feel equally stupid for buying one of those contraptions. I'd have to say it was a downgrade from the flip phone it replaced at the time.

    This punctuation mark is semi-dead

    9twlogfgzqql.png

the semicolon was introduced in 1494 by Venetian printer and publisher Aldus Manutius.

But now the semicolon is dead. Or semi-dead. Its use has collapsed, as underlined last month by a study from Babbel, an online language-learning platform. “Semicolon usage in British English books has fallen by nearly 50% in the past two decades,” the survey said — and this sudden drop followed a steady decline across the past two centuries.

A study of semicolon use in U.S. publishing from 1920 to 2019 saw a similarly dramatic slide. Newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books all soured on the semicolon, though nonfiction after 2000 did see an uptick from the depths.

I guess I need to rethink the term "cowgirl".

I would - for the record - far prefer a coleslaw pop to, say, an egg salad pop.

I had a similar thought to that expressed by @F1nut -- the top half of that looks quite nice.
I'd probably eat the whole danged thing.

As an aside (of sorts), Mrs. H and I had an amusing conversation over dinner of other "frozen on a stick" opportunities for "treats" (in the broadest sense of the word). Her suggestion: sauerkraut. :#
