The old quip about the Aztek was that a large-scale rendering on paper of the design accidently got folded and creased -- but nobody noticed until it was far too late.mhardy6647 wrote: »AMC was (were?) particularly adept at slicing and dicing their platforms as the whim struck.
Only to be eventually one-upped by the Pontiac Aztec.

'Our food doesn't even last the month' - Americans brace for welfare cuts
Jordan and his wife get about $700 a month to feed their family of four, but still struggle
-
For some reason, the struggle doesn't seem real....
If one can't feed a family of 4 with that amount of money for food, then something is amiss. That amount of money would have our family a SURPLUS of food each month. What are they buying? Tomahawk and Wagyu steaks?
And FWIW, we eat good in this house.

N.B. As a former substantial citizen myself
I must admit that I have mixed feelings on this topic. That said, I have strong feelings on 'good' vs. 'bad' ways to fix the problem. Hint: taking drugs - even if they work - is probably not the most prudent course of action from my perspective.

The AMX’s were just as potent a muscle car as anything else on the road at that time.
They were some really quick red light race cars. -

I read that as "And a fat guy" and thought to myself: "Well, it's no wonder . . . " -

Shoot, we spend between 300-400 a week on groceries and we don't buy junk. We do buy premium meats and tons of berries, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. Our bread is from a bakery, organic whenever possible and I eat 3 eggs a day plus my wife eats 2 eggs a day. But it all gets eaten. 2 teens and 2 adults. -
Honestly I've found it is way more expensive to eat junk food- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

You can spend a small fortune on chips, sweets, soda etc etc etc
The cost of fast food is outrageous
I drink water from the fridge tap, skip breakfast, eat an apple and banana and a full dinner. Done!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I am going to add another requirement to this appliance and all other electronic items.
Although my my vision is almost 20/20 in both eyes, I don't like any item that is all BLACK.

Our friend Mary Holland has a blog called Naturally Curious. Today's post is about the noble moose.

https://naturallycuriouswithmaryholland.wordpress.com/2025/06/27/moose-antler-growth/Antlers are the fastest growing tissue in any mammal, and can grow an inch a day. It’s hard to believe, when you see a bull moose in early summer, that by September each of its antlers could weigh 40 pounds. Bull moose spend a quarter of the energy from the 35 pounds of vegetation they eat each day toward growing antlers. Together the antlers gain a pound of bone a day.
