    Are You a Hostile Punctuator???
    https://time.com/7272258/hostile-punctuation-texting-email-exclamation-question-marks/

Before you write off punctuation as little more than a dot, a line, or some combination of both, consider: A period can end a conversation—or an entire relationship. One too many question marks can make the recipient ask themselves if they really want to keep talking to you. Forgetting an exclamation point can spark the wrong kind of excitement.

Three letters - G P S… Either leave the chains in place, or install GPS chips in each end of the ball. It’s almost as though the NFL selects the absolute worst way to “improve” the game at every turn.

Speaking of the NFL, I've been a Dallas suck a$$ fan since I had my picture taken with Chuck Howley when I was just a wee tot.....well for the second time in my lifetime, I've taken a hike. I did not watch a single cowpoke game this last season.

The other day I was wearing a #33 Tony Dorsett jersey, Ayesha asked me, who's that?? I said, he was a "real" cowboy! I've also kept #22 Bullet Bob Hays, #22 Emitt Smith, #12 Roger Staubach But have lost any of the current player from the last 8 years or so.

Question regarding GPS chips in each end of football and advancement/placement accuracy:
If the player with the football is "DOWN" on the ground after a play and the football lands parallel to the yard lines, doesn't GPS in each end actually show the ball's advancement shorter by 1/2 of the ball's diameter?

Isn't the same argument true if the football is in a players hands parallel to the yard lines when the player is called "DOWN" by the referee?

At the goal line, GPS in each end of the football could result in a non-touchdown call although the outer most diameter of the football is touching the goal line.

    be2bdgt5nf1l.png

Now, think of the football not parallel and not perpendicular to the yard lines when a player with the football is called "DOWN" either on the ground or by the referee.

It's a complicated mathematical problem due to the multiple places on the football's outer shell that could be more forward than the GPS chips at the ends.

The GPS chips in the ends of the football work only when one end of the football is more forward than any other location on the football's outer shell which only occurs when the football is perpendicular to the yard lines. We know a football is never always perpendicular to the yard lines when a player with it is "DOWN".

I am just saying it's more complicated than it appears.

Most importantly, there is a current fan issue/perception of how a play is going and the game is going that is certainly involved in using the camera or GPS chips. Fans can see the chains on the sidelines which gives us insight on the progress of a particular play and the game in each or our minds. Let's hope that part of the game is not ignored.

I like using the chains best!! I don't believe taking the simplest human element out of it solves anything.
