This lady sounds like a familiar voice....but I can't place it. Regardless, cool tune and recording.

Ya' know, I just recently stumbled across one of their tracks (post is up two or three). Cool stuff. Would love to listen to it on vinyl. I will look up that album after the family wakes up and listen to it in its entirety. How does that sound on vinyl? Is it a decent pressing/recording?....in other words, worth it?

Tom: I saw your recent listening and decided to give mine a spin. It had been awhile since I played it.
It does sound great on vinyl. So search one out, they are readily available and very reasonably priced.
It is mentioned several times on the Polk SDA playlist and added to it again by others.

Thanks. I really liked what I heard the other day from streaming, and right after I made that last post? I found one brand new, still sealed on Amazon, so I pounced on it quickly (vinyl). Since I don't have SDA's, I don't follow that thread. Maybe I should start doing so. I appreciate your input....sounds like I won't be disappointed.

"Oh Yeah" is an addition to the US version of the album, the track is originally on the previous album, Stella. On release LP830956-1 (1987), Oh Yeah is track #6 at the end of side A, and the rest of the tracks are in the same order. On other US relases it takes place between "Gold Rush" and "Dr. Van Steiner".https://youtu.be/zz_QsH3tjsA

The Five Day Week Straw People were a one-off, studio-only British psychedelic band that did one rare album in late 1967 (actually released in 1968) for the budget Saga label. Its ten songs were loosely centered around the concept of a typical weekend in the life of typical working British people. For a fee of 25 pounds per musician, the Five Day Week Straw People -- comprised of singer/guitarist John Du Cann (of the obscure psychedelic pop group the Attack, who did four singles for Decca), bassist Mick Hawksworth, and drummer Jack Collins -- were assembled. The album was recorded in about four hours in a London schoolroom, a remarkable achievement given that Collins had not heard any of the songs prior to the session.

The best version I have heard to date with , "Stimela" is off of a Burmester CD. Night and day difference between that and the original CD. One is almost unlistenable, the other is definitely an audiophile track.
