With my old ears, the speakers sounded awesome.Post edited by Tony M onMost people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Tony, all these years of hoarding....accumulating stuff, you haven't gotten hold of a simple 2-wheel hand truck (aka dolly) to roll speakers in and out of the shed? Shoot, that's one thing I will never lend out for fear of not getting it back.
-
Are those rubber surrounds on the B&W’s?
-
I have had a dolly for 35 years. I got a second one from a co-worker 20 years ago. I still have them both.
I was concerned either of my 2 dollies would scratch the finish in some weird way ( no matter how I wrapped them, so I thought, I carried 80 lb Triton Ones with good control in 2015, so why not try these? I've been working hard and building my strength back for a year now.
I knew these speakers were piano-finish and they had a huge base plate attached at the sellers' house. My wife pushed me to take her rolling cart with an upright handle with me this morning.
There was one step that was short but the second was high. I thought "no" on the cart because of the second step. I just carried them out, put them on the ground, and then laid them over on thick knee pads to take the bases off.
I had fairly good rest breaks between carrying each speaker and the receiver.
I now know in the future, I will not repeat what I did today. My legs are 1/2 what they were a year ago. I feel my back will probably fail if stressed hard in the future after today's test. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Tony, put those water pipe insulation tubes on the dolly with zip ties. Make sure the locking part is in back and you're good to go. If you're worried about the foot scratching the bottom of something break down a cardboard box slide it over the foot and tape it on.

@Tony M enjoy your new speakers. Jesse sleeps in a coffin you in a bed. To each their own. As long as you enjoy them

They sound wonderful, the detail is top notch.
I got a great surprise yesterday regarding my Infinity Prelude MTS speakers.
I may have found a person that can repair the 850w B.A.S.H. Amps in the MTS’s subwoofers.
Those B&W’s sound like they have the detail of the Prelude MTS. I do miss that type of brighter sound/detail, especially in the better recordings and higher-rez formats.
It’s the reason I removed the poly switches, in my SDA SRS’, and just used a jumper.
Tried different resistor values but preferred the sound with a jumper.
Well, it won’t hurt a green damnit trying as they’re not able to be used the way they are.
I’m sure glad I didn’t throw them out like I was tempted to do, I just couldn’t bare to make that commitment. -

No, it shifts the sound to the right side.Political Correctness'.........defined

Tony, as far as scratching the speakers when moving, I can relate.
I ended up borrowing a dolly from a friend.
I put the grills on my larger speakers then wrapped them with moving blankets. The blankets were held in place with electrical tape.
To fully wrap them, including the bottoms, I first laid the blankets on the ground then laid the speakers down on their backs on top the blanket. Wrapped & taped then stood them back up and onto the dolly. Worked great.
Now piano black…… I’d be very cautious with those rough moving blankets. Maybe a Saran Wrap type of layer first may do the trick before wrapping with blankets? -
I dropped my vehicle off for PPF and front window tint today and got to see this machine that they just completed PPF, tint and ceramic coating on. Ferrari 812 GTS. Could’ve spent the rest of the day looking at it. Amazing!

What a lot of the more expensive vehicle folks do is PPF the whole car.
That’s the film they put on the front end of the car to protect from bugs, rocks and the other things that f-up your paint, it’s that clear stuff they used to call a clear bra. -
I wonder if the ceramic coating is needed if the whole car has the PPF.
-
I can say without a doubt yes.
The ceramic coating doesn’t prevent rock chips. -
This particular place puts ceramic coating over the PPF. I’ve been using a retail (Adam’s) ceramic coating for the past several years. It does make the washing and overall maintenance process easier. PPF keeps the random rock chips at bay, though.

^ 100% agreement.
Adam’s is the ****. 3 of our cars done with Adam’s ceramic coating.
The 89 soup has ceramic coating over the clear bra up front.
Awesome stuff. -

First time I have seen that Ferrari.
The "flow" of that car from front fender to upper rear is perfect and magnificent!
