Not in the state I am in. There is no hearing to boost whatsoever in my left ear.
There’s a Cochlear Implant option or a CROS hearing aid option that more or less takes sound you would receive in your bad ear and transfers to the hearing aid in your good ear.2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

So sorry to read this. I can't think of a worse ailment for an audiophile. Hoping for the best.
Maybe if you have a good enough recovery, you can explore really nice headphones, and perhaps use balance controls to get some semblance of stereo sound."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

To this point, no improvement. Just terrible Tinnitus. Also lots of other weird stuff with my eyes being able to focus and stabilize and headaches. It’s going to be a long road but as long as my body learns to cope with the other stuff, I’ll learn to survive with the hearing. Good news is I don’t need to spend big money on stereo stuff anymore lol.
I’ll keep my DIY speakers and NAD M10V2 and pick up a cheaper record player/phone so I can still at least enjoy the music

Visual disturbance and headaches. Never seen that with isolated ear anomaly.

Tinnitus and blurred vision can be related. Especially with high blood pressure.
Headaches can also be linked to tinnitus, but AFAIK, not really related to high blood pressure.
However, stress can absolutely cause headaches, and the headaches may, or may not be directly related to the tinnitus?

There’s a lot of weird stuff going on and the ENT professionals thus far have said none of it is out of line with an issue with the balance function of the inner ear.
The headaches are caused when driving or at work staring at the computer screen, IE when I’m focusing hard on something that used to be easy to do.
About to go into the Hyperbaric Chamber for the first time to see if that helps at all. Luckily was able to get a referral to a local Sentara wound therapy center for HBOT as there has been some success with HBOT helping with inner ear problems.2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

Be aware that with HBOT that if your ears aren't able to equalize pressure, you'll experience a LOT of discomfort, aka pain.
If so, they can put tubes in your ears as needed.

Yea I experienced discomfort in my left ear today. They only went up to 2.0 BAR instead of 2.5. Gonna try again on Thursday and see. The likelihood of me quickly getting a tube put in my ear via Naval Medicine is approaching zero so hopefully I can cope better on Thursday.2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

My opinion is that headache and visual disturbance in the setting of an acute hearing loss is weird and I would scan the cranium if not already done.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -

@stangman67 I am really sorry to read this. My wife had something eerily similar. Ear pain, went to doc, got prescription. About three days later, much worse, lost complete hearing in one ear. Went to ENT. Got a different prescription, and they also gave her 30% chance of full recovery. No kidding. All very similar. They said it would take 6-12 months to fully recover (meaning, to get as much recovery as she could).
I don't recall her having any balance issues. She's on her feet all day at work, so I think I would have remembered if that was a complaint. However, she did have occasional shooting, debilitating pains.
They took pressure measurements (I think because of the pain, but maybe normal part of the ENT's examination of her condition), and the nurse said it was insanely high. So, they intentionally ruptured her eardrum. Had to drain fluid. Didn't help the hearing to come back but helped with pain. In the incision they put in what she said they described as a "cork" that would naturally pop out as the eardrum healed, and they would recover it in a later visit.
No hearing for about a month, and it slowly started to come back. Not like an aha-hallelujah moment, so I think maybe it started to come back while she was asleep one night, so by the time she woke up, her brain didn't hit her with an, OMG, I can hear! situation. Anyhow, it was slow, very slow. And the cork took like a month longer than they said.
That was 8 months ago, and today she says she's about 70% of the way there. She was literally at zero. When she first got to the ENT, since her PCP had already looked and said it was a common ear infection, their tone was an initial shrug. Then they did a hearing test and showed her the good ear first, and then the second ear. Absolutely deaf. So their tone changed to very serious. She freaked out. Broke down in tears. Fast forward from April to today (happy new year!), 70% is very positive. Hopefully, over the next 4 months she'll get the rest of it back.
I hope the same for you. Sorry to share such a long story, but I've been away from Club Polk for a while, and when I read about your situation, considering she went from "you may never hear out of this ear ever again" to the majority of hearing in that ear returning, I thought it might be a good story of hope.
None of us want any of the rest of us to go through what you are. I'm pulling for you, my friend. -
First and foremost, I haven’t heard anything about this hearing loss being sensorineural or conductive. That’s the first step. Then if sensorineural with cranial symptoms, need an image to ensure no other pathology. If conductive then fluid pressure, infection, pus, etc in the “ear” are all fair play.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R

It’s Sensorineural. It’s an inner ear problem, not conductive.
I am getting appropriate treatment from my ENT experts. Will have an MRI later this month to rule out anything else. The fact is I was sick when this came about, so the doctors are initially leaning towards a viral infection that reached my inner ear
@smartie_panta
I appreciate the word of encouragement. A little glimmer of hope really matters a lot. Understanding what your wife went through, I am sure she is incredibly relieved that a large majority of her hearing came back! I’d sign up for 70 percent recovery right now!
Over the past 24 hours, I feel like I have gained back some hearing sensation but it could be placebo or pass through to the good ear. I can make out when I scratch my inner left ear now when I feel like I couldn’t before. Could be me gripping at nothing, but I certainly want to feel like I’m improving.2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

I read somewhere that a slow, deep, meaningful BJ can cause complete recovery from this condition. I'm not volunteering but I'm sure there are several members here willing to attempt the recovery.
Possibly the ones who have me on there ignore list.
Which is quite possibly 2/3 rds of the members.
Those are good odds for you.
