Projects: what are you all working on?

Hey Carlton, what up?
If it was me, after I got the new amp, I would of thought hard about getting that old one completely gone through and fixed, all service bulletins, everything. Those are getting harder and harder to find. -

"would of"????
There is no such thing as "would of"
"Would have" or the correct contraction "would've"
I did consider what you propose, but; It's expensive and there ain't too many shops left doing it. Then again there was the prospect of the system bing down for a very long time while I waited. I always wanted one of the newer Sunfire Cinema Grand Signatures and I finally got my hands on one that was recapped. So I shall let someone else go through this one. It's already got a bid on it on eBay. -

It still works. Just one channel is out. It sat in that location for more than a decade in between the equipment rack and one of the speakers. Why don'tcha come on over and do some cleaning for me since you're so judgemental..............

For this and more, it's in my barn shed.

I JUST made "blue" grill inserts for my pair of JBL-L100 Centurys. I now have "white cotton linen" and "Navy Blue" albeit flat grills that look great.
I cut 2 more pr. of panel inserts to make 2 more colors. I only cut the outer dimensions with inches to spare. I drew the sizes on them and only have to use a Sabre saw to cut away the inside. I'll probably use my table-saw to cut away the outer excess. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Some maintenance on our 3000GT Spyder.
Replacing timing belt, pulleys & tensioners along with water pump.
While there replacing all drive belts including tensioners and pulleys.
May have been easier if we had pulled the motor.

Not a VR4 Spyder, Spyder SL. Couldn’t afford the vr4 spyder.
Do have a 92 vr4 and it’s next for this fun as **** 60k service.
I agree on these cars, one of the best cruising GT vehicles ever.
All are great on long interstate trips. -
I thought VR4s were turbo? What scale are you working with?

Vr4’s were turbo…..
Twin turbo, twin intercooler, all wheel drive & all wheel steering.
No Spyder came with active aero.
Spyder’s we’re only made in 95 & 96.
The 95 Spyders could be had with ECS but, in 96 they dropped the ECS option.
The electronic controlled exhaust was also dropped.
Nice read on the Spyder….
https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/how-the-mitsubishi-3000gt-spyder-was-made/#:~:text=A non-Spyder VR-4,seems positively insane in 1995.
With the Spyder conversion adding around 400 pounds it ended up giving them a 50/50 weight distribution.
Only problem was they were over 4,000lbs, even with the vr4 version they weren’t considered a sports car.
They were at the top of the heap when it comes to a Grand Touring car of the day, bar none.
They will cruise above 130 mph all day long.
A great cannonball run car for sure. -
Insightful! There's a "kid" that drives his Papaws pearl white VR4 to the monthly cars and coffee I go to. It's a very nice car indeed... I know, cool story bro lol

My 92 RT/TT is collecting dust bunnys. It went up on stands for ripped outer CV boot and the while you in there discoveries just kept expanding. Waiting on replacing the transfer case input spool and a stud in the front O2 housing.
Next project up that I'm more likely to finish on time is new crossover parts for my Monitor 5JR+ since I didn't find the right resistors the Monitor 5's. Ignore the label, those are 33uf caps not 10uf.
