RT800i sounds muddy

Hi everyone. I recently picked up some RT800i's from FB for 70 usd. One of them has a broken tweeter, but other looks fine cosmetically. Even with the broken tweeter one ("right speaker") disabled, the other ("left") speaker sounds very muddy. I have to turn the treble up (a lot) on my amp for it to sound "normal to me" - comparable to my Koss KSC75's for example, but I don't really have anything else to compare to. Is this normal (and maybe just my personal preference) or is something wrong?
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much!

Those tweeters use ferro fluid, may need to change- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Thank you. Is it easy to change and worth it (cost, time)?

hey @VR3, since you seem to be one of the modding experts on this form, I was just wondering if you knew how easy it is to replace a RT800 tweeter. Is it just cut a wire and solder the new one on sorta thing? Thanks
