As a road warrior, the balancing is equally important. That's why I only buy tires from discount tire as they rotate and balance for free for the life of the tire- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Who is tightening lug nug nuts every 100 miles?
Not every 100 miles. Just once. After mounting a tire on a car (at least when the tires are on alloy wheels), one is supposed to check torque after about 50 miles and re-torque to spec. The place we get our tires (which is very good) insists on it... but, on the bright side, they'll essentially drop everything & check "in real time" so to speak when one brings a car back for re-torquing.
It's not a bad idea to check torque now and again, though.
The tire place also rotate tires they sold for free and will also put on snow tires they sold for free -- and that's the problem.
I did my own rotation this time because, despite my best intentions to take the car in and get 'em done while Mrs. H was in Africa... I didn't
Now they're hella busy with snow tire installations, and so I decided to do 'em myself. I will probably throw Mrs. H's snows on, too, for the same reason.
My tires are the Michelin Crossclimate 2 which are really nice all weather, all year (!?!) tires -- but they need to be rotated every 3k miles, or one won't get the tread life of which they're capable. I take Michelin & the tire place at their words.

If that makes your mind curious, check out the Netflix Series called Ancient Apocalypse. -
I believe that's the series with Graham Hancock.
I personally enjoy the heck
out of Hancock's work.
80% of Commenters will dismiss ANYTHING that he does simply because "He doesn't have a degree in Archaeology !"
Or Astronomy.
Or Oceanology.
They base their arguments on credentials and ignore that frequently Hancock is merely raising valid questions.
Interesting interviews on Rogan's podcast.

^^^ had a 1977 Ford Ranger 4×4 back in the day. My father in law used a electric gun to put on the lug nuts & I questioned it. He said it was fine. It started to shake real bad on i95 & it was scary. I pulled over. Sure enough. They came looseRandy-Maine

Appearances to the contrary, I actually really do try not to channel my inner 12 year old, even in the context of humor.
That said.
1) that clearly doesn't stop others.
2) I don't claim that I never give in to the temptation.
As seen on Yahoo, moments ago.
