I, too, have achieved similar greatness!
Almost without fail whenever I've built cables and realize I've completed a Schiity solder joint I'm trying to be proud of, and then notice I've completely forgotten to first place my meticulously measured and cut, staged heatshrink tubing. #%$* ensues.
I'll even go as far as to admit that I've spent an additional minute or two trying to figure out a way to get the heatshrink on there. For those of you wondering, no, I have not yet found a way, but it won't stop me from trying the next time. For those of you laughing, shut up. You've done it, too. That's why it's funny.

Exactly the situation with the old man next to me for several years. He used to mow his backyard naked except sneakers. Unfortunately, the fence didn't stop me from finding that out from my second floor. Another time the neighborhood handyman was checking something on my roof and got the full Monty! UGH Said he could never unsee that! LOLOLExpect that there will be bumps in the road. Choose to not let them rattle you.

Maybe construction never worked out for that guy and he moved into building or repairing electronics...

Wow. And presumably still the same chintzy, stamped steel, cut-yourself-thin construction as always?

Our larger Weber (kettle grille) has got about 32 years on it now, and it's sat outside, uncovered, every day of its, umm, life. Still going strong. I've replaced the handles and rehabilitated the ash sweeper thingy after its mounting screw rusted and ultimately broke. The grilles and the kettle itself are still in very good condition.
