One thing I did want to mention regarding the LHY kit, I ordered it Saturday, it was delivered on Thursday. It came from China. I have never seen shipping overseas so fast. Packing was excellent.

I just ordered the Node 2i upgrade kit. I’m going to install this and see if it gives me what I’m seeking. If it enhances detail and expands the soundstage. It will work. @jbreezy5, did you notice an immediate improvement,or was there some burn in needed?

Sorry for the delayed response; it was a busy week. Looks like you already have your answer, though. And, yes, I agree some burn-in resulted in improvement over time.

LHY is great to work with. They have a distributor state-side. They respond to emails timely also.

    Congrats on the upgrade.

Ok, I just put the LHY kit in. I read somewhere else where this kit needs a bit of burn in. If that’s the case,I am going to be thrilled. I can already notice a difference in focus of instruments, and a larger ( wider so far) soundstage. So far I’m rather impressed. As far as John’s Moon piece, it really is a spectacular deal. I’ve been doing a bunch of thinking, and I really want a separate box setup. I just feel more comfortable as far as the future goes.

    Most excellent

I moved the upgraded Node to my secondary system. I just ordered another kit. I’m certain there are better streamers out there,(There’s always better) but for the price,I’m sold on the improvements. Now I’m starting to hear a deeper soundstage as well.

Do you mean another kit to upgrade another Node, or you bought an entirely different streamer? Just curious.

I’ve been eye-balling the Eversolo DMP-A6 as a possible upgrade to the Node for awhile. LHY has created an internal LPS for it, and one can add up to 4TB internal SSD, as well as, external USB SSD storage.

However, I am still happy with the LPS-upgraded Node’s performance, and have been focused on other system upgrades this year.

I run a Node 2 in my secondary system. I wanted to hear what improvements I might hear downstairs, so I brought the upgraded Node2i down there. It made such a difference, I ordered the same kit for the Node 2.
