Them monster's in the back ground are Kindel PLS-A speakers. I almost done some trading for a pair of them locally earlier this year. But from what I have read about them, they are more impressive to look at than listen to.

He had a Harmon Kardon 730 that he sold earlier. That was one nice receiver that I regret selling ten years ago. Sounded amazing and conservative on the power specs. Peace. I have a Sony PS-X70 I bought brand new in '79 or '80. This one is a level above.
It has the factory Sony XL-33 moving coil cartridge (these alone bring $200.00 +/- on eBay.)
I don't think it's over-priced.
I think the Sony TT's of this era are very under rated.

Infinity RSII Speakers with interesting story in White Bear Lake, MN - $1800
These speakers are beautiful and unique! I bought them in what appeared to be unused condition. In their poly bag and in the box/s. The wood was very dry and woofer surrounds were deteriorated. I oiled (tung) them and had the surrounds replaced by Midwest Speaker in Roseville, MN. I own speakers that cost almost 20x's as much, but these are the speakers that I like to show and play for my friends and family. Awesome sound stage with open mid-range speakers and rear firing tweeters. Grills front and rear are 100% perfect (!) and the right one is still in the box (see pic). I took the left on out to inspect and test. Please read link in add as it has a lot of great info about the heirloom type speakers

Actually they came from the factory with the tweeters in a vertical orientation. A previous owner must have changed the orientation of the tweeters to lay these speakers on their sides. Obviously, the current owner didn't get the memo. Very simple fix.
Also, there's a fuse in front of each of those tweeters that could be the culprit for their lack of sound.
These speakers were designed to lay on their sides.

My Infinity's are the Q series. 2 different sizes and I read about the sideways placement. The RS series ARE different I see. Thanks for informing me.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
