I wonder how much heat those monoblocks make! They're also 155lbs each!
You just need to figure that into your dedicated room when you're figuring the ac requirements. -

Thanks, Drew but I have already had my time with tubed amplifiers. I like love the sound but after owning many tube amps? I am down to one Carver tube amp (mono-blocks) and those will be the last ones.
I had two Anthem Amp1's in my system years ago and they were actually the straw that broke the Camel's back for me. One of them failed and as I was having that one worked on, the other one failed. So, I bought a "temporary" MF A3cr to tide me over. That amp was the most linear amp I had heard to date and actually had some serious staying power in my system. It was only replaced by a MFKW-750. I still have the A3cr but it's in a different LR setup. All of the other tube amps are long gone.
Tube amps are too much of a PIA for me to deal with, with the seemingly constant biasing, tubes going out, unplugging everything and pulling them out of the rack each time I had to bias/replace a tube, etc.. Too much damned work for me. I like to power the rig on and simply enjoy the music, instead of constantly tinkering with it.
I have also come to prefer tube sources and a tube pre with a beefy SS amplifier.
Sorry for the late response, I just now caught up on this thread. Been busy as of late. Thanks for the heads up though.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

My thoughts are they're referring to the mega multi driver speakers each side of the equipment. -

I figured as much, but when I couldn't figure out what that system was, I couldn't resist. -
I bet those speakers would sound really good on something other than a 40 year old Yamaha receiver and 24 ga. speaker wire...Gustard X26 Pro DAC

Them monster's in the back ground are Kindel PLS-A speakers. I almost done some trading for a pair of them locally earlier this year. But from what I have read about them, they are more impressive to look at than listen to.
