WOW!! $11,500 and change. Crazy!!
-
Even non-reconditioned Carver amps (M1.5t, M-500t, M4.0t and the like) are going for crazy money. I just saw one go for close to $800! The market for vintage gear is strong.....which is weird because new or slightly used stuff sits on the chopping block for a while, even with severe discounts.

Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Well then I should sell my completely recapped, updated with all tech bulletins TFM 45. Right now it is doing duty in a 3.1 TV system.

How about "free" records??!! The vinyl is free but the shipping is about $12 each...still not a bad deal for new records and the selection is actually half decent:

I don't think the few hidden treasures that might be in there is worth the Easter egg hunt. I see a huge headache for someone and I'm glad it's not me.
What is going on in the corner? Looks like a sub? Question 2. Is this a basement?[/quote]

Woops; disregard that bottom quote from someone else (don't remember who) from long ago. Obviously I should have my reading glasses on and a bit more java before posting early in the morning.

Two New in Box, PS Audio Noise Harvesters (black)
$65 each BIN, plus $4.99 shipping

^^^^^As an owner of 5 of those devices that's not a good price ($75 new) on something that doesn't work as advertised despite Mcgowan's claims otherwise. The blue blinky lights look cool though.
-
When @verb had his noise detector thingy (technical term), he was sharing with members, I tested my lines and the noise harvester's did make an improvement. Especially if you located them near certain appliances and lighting that was the source. Took some fiddling around to get the best configuration. Did I hear an actual improvement? I don't remember but I still have them in my system.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

Yes I guess you could say they do occasionally work in some situations. My emi meter shows it sometimes lowers noise by about 25 points on the scale and other times nothing. Adding several more I could get the number up to about 30 points lowered sometimes. Those numbers though are meaningless.
Simply by plugging in my Furman ref 20i pc lowers emi by 200-300 on entire 120 leg. Further emi reduction is gained by going through the Furman. Plugged into a dc inverter generator where the power is really dirty (over 2,000) the noise harvestors do nothing at all. But the Furman will lower the emi on that dirty electricy by several hundred points.
I also have several quietlines; they operate the exact same way; completely worthless as there's not even blinky blue lights to watch.
In my case I keep them and use them all simply because I have them. I could not sell them to anyone and lie claiming they lower emi a meaningful amount because they do not. -
They're not really designed to remove EMI but instead other frequencies that piggyback off the 60Hz sine wave.Gustard X26 Pro DAC
