    Nice! I was just going to add it's exciting when you first rub oil on it to see what happens with the grain patterns.

    Close, crotch walnut. From Aaron's @ALL212 dad's tree farm. Hand rubbed, Tung oil. I love the different appearance throughout the day as lighting changes. I was nervous about it splitting routing between the corners of the base, but it held together.

    I have a matching crotch walnut turntable plinth I need to finish for the Lenco idler drive. It will be stuffed with layers of Baltic Birch. It will be a PTP build, bearing and motor plate separate.

    Those are beautiful Bottlehead bases. Would love to do that for my Paramounts.
