No affiliation. I don’t know anything about this gear other than people on the forum seem to love Musical Fidelity.

Anyone familiar with these? Pioneer CS-G301, look to be in nice condition.

^^^^^^Pass. $300 a pair rack system speakers from the early 80's. A good rule of thumb is to stay away from speakers with graphs on the fronts and decorative silver rings. Exception to the rule on the silver rings being the Yamaha NS series.

I still have a set of those from high school I use when I work out. Used for FM radio. "Party speakers", boomy bass, they do as intended and help make my muscles bigger.
-
They're good for a garage or background sound and I'd pay no more than 40.00 on a day I had a wad of money burning in my pocket.
They're almost good speakers.
Get a pair of Pioneer Cs-903's (?) for 80.00 or so like I did.
I just saw on eBay, a pr. of 703's for 700.00 LOLThere's plenty of better Pioneer speakers than those. I know.
I sold the top pair. They sounded about the same. Not too bad.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Great; just great; now you tell me.......I've been using the wrong speakers all these years.

That red box that's padlocked looks very interesting and mysterious.
I don't believe I've ever seen this end of this room.
Very nice room and stereo indeed. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Thanks; The box isn't anything special; just a heavy old Plomb tool box that's the right size for doing crunches. What is going on in the corner? Looks like a sub? Question 2. Is this a basement?
Yes that's a sub in the corner with a Mitsu meter box being used as a gain control. No it's not a basement; it's my listening building-workout room in the winter months.

No tubes, yet the ad says "turns on".
I've read, you should never turn on a tube amp without speakers connected. Let alone no tubes.
Am I correct about having speakers connected before turning on a tube amp? Thanks.
-
Yes.
-
If that amp is diode rectified it can't be good for it.

Oops, sorry, I guess they sold already. -
They are listed again. I won't bother posting another broken link but here's a photo. Seems like I read that they were fairly well regarded here.

If you calculate the value of the tonearm(s) and accessories, it's really a no-brainer for purchasing.
