I met Johnny shortly before he died, was his “roadie” for a show, took the band out to dinner, and he signed a few LPs and took a photo with me and the promoter. He was pretty out of it, they had to help him to his chair on stage of course but he rocked like a mother. Standing ovations for every song. Got a bunch of photos from the front row. He was a guitarist to behold.

Johnny and my brother became close In his last 20 years. Johnny said during an interview here in Ohio my brother Steve was the only one he’s met to play with the same feel as him! What an honor to my brother who BTW sounds like johnny every time he picks up an axe especially one of his birds !"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Last of The Police set for today, I will finish listening to them tomorrow.
At some point I'll do a comparison to the LP set. I don't know how others feel about comparing LPs and CD that have the same mastering, but I personally feel it can be somewhat difficult due to variables, most notably the differences in quality and performance of the TT/cartridge and the CD player. At any rate I'll give it a shot sometime soon.
I will say that so far the CDs sound very good and I have no complaints. 😎
I have all their SACD's. I was not really a fan in my younger years, I've matured (cough cough not) but damn they got it going on. Some of the songs not on the radio are bombastic! Great stuff! -
Certifiable from their 2007-8 reunion tour is excellent, and a favorite of my personal Blu-Ray concert collection. I have the limited edition Best Buy exclusive BD/2 CD set. Never have played the CDs though.
