      On today's date in 1964 The Beatles appeared for their first live audience on the Ed Sullivan Show. Studio 54 in NYC. 73 Million people watched, including our family. My old man hated the Beatles and scoffed throughout the performance. In September '64, my older girl cousin went to see them live in Milwaukee. She had to lie about where she was going, as her father strictly forbid "Beatle music."
