Google Home and Max SR, Which it No Longer Recognizes

The app which used to show the status and any software updates is now useless. You can't use it to adjust volume, and when you go to settings on the GH app, it says "some of the information is unavailable" (or something like that.)
Really this whole experience of waiting and waiting for the release of the Magnifi Max SR back in 2017, then the whole popping/crackling of the surrounds, then the endless updates that either did nothing or made it worse, has made me say POLK screw you!
